Cheese soup at the Food & Wine Festival?

We're heading to WDW in October, so we'll be lucky enough to be there during the Food & Wine Festival...

I'm wondering if they always sell the cheddar cheese soup at the Canadian stall each year, and if it's the same as the soup at Le Cellier?

They seem to sell it most years (I think!) and if so, we might be able to skip going to Le Cellier and using 2 TS credit just for the soup! Hee!

They usually have the soup every year...and yes it is the same as the rest.
But there's always a chance that they could change there menu!!! I hope not because we will be there in the end of Oct

They have had this the past several years and I doubt that they would stop offering it. It is the same soup you would get in Le Cellier.

Ooh, well I might just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope they have it there again!

Do they release what's for sale in the stalls beforehand? Or do we just find out once the festival begins?

Also, can you use a snack credit on F&W items, or is that my imagination?

There are usually leaks about what will be for sale prior to opening day. Keep checking here on the DIS for info, but don't expect to see anything until late August.

The soup is the same, but remember, the portions at F&W are small (couple of bites, normally) and much more expensive (per bite in that sense). You'll get to taste the soup, but if you like it, then I would try for an ADR so you can get a whole bowl (you can just order the soup and pay OOP if you want).

In the past years, you have been able to use snack credits to purchase the food and non-alcoholic drinks. It could change and disney doesn't announce if snack credits can be used. Once the first sign-boards go up, then folks can see if the DDP symbol is on it (or not).

Yes. Every year. Exactly the same soup. You can probably count on it, from what I understand it is the best selling item of the entire festival. Also, the price goes up every year on what turns out to be about half a dixie cup's worth of soup. You would probably pay more than what 2 credits are worth to get the equivalent of a full bowl of soup, but if you just want to taste it, the booth will work for you.
