Ohana - what time ressie to see the fireworks?

We are planning to eat dinner at Ohana, and walk to the Poly beach to watch the fireworks after - what time should our dinner reservation be?

Currently it's for 7:10, will that work?

It depends what time the fireworks are at. Check the parks schedule for when you will be there. I made reservations for October during my honeymoon and we wanted to see the sunset (7:15ish), so we made plans for 6:30 I believe. I would give yourself an hour for dinner and a few minutes to get down to the beach.

As the PP said- it will depend on what time Wishes is. If it is at 10 pm, you will want to be finished dinner and leaving by 9:30. We usually estimate 90 minutes for dinner. You need to leave some leewway for being seated after your ADR time too. I would probably want an ADR for around 7:30-8:00.

Other times of the year, if Wishes is earlier, just adjust your ADRs accordingly.

It's in early October - according to easyWDW Wishes is scheduled for 9:00. So if my reservation is at 7:10 I am thinking that should be ok? How far of a walk is it from the restaurant to the beach?

It's only a few minutes walk. Leave the Great Ceremonial House and head towards the Volcano Pool. Continue past there and you will see the beach area. You don't want to leave it for the last minute, since the beach can be full of other people with the same idea.

You should be fine, just don't arrive late for your ADR. I'd probably arrive no later than 6:50.
