Yes that was the way I read the question too as pertaining to the ride specifically.

I think we all know the dress code for the parks in general, but it read as asking about restrictions on Ripsaw Falls.

In terms of restrictions, I meant that I was told you couldn't wear flip flops in the past. The issue I have is that I don't want to get my shoes drenched when on the ride. This is as far as I remember though so maybe I'm wrong.

Also, thank you for all the feedback so far!

Hmmm. I don't think there was a flip flop restriction. You just had to keep them on.

Huh, apparently my kids and I didn't get nearly as wet as most people on Jurassic Park and Ripsaw Falls. We rode JP twice, and got splashed, but nowhere near drenched. Ripsaw Falls - little more wet, but nothing to get worried about.

Bluto's Barges was a completely different story. I couldn't have gotten more wet if I had just jumped in a pool fully clothed. But it was a warm, sunny, non-humid day, so we were all dry within an hour or so.

This.

Flip flops are all that I wear at the park and there has never been a restriction on them for any ride.

Oh thought of another tip for Ripsaw Falls - when you come down the final drop keep an eye out for the water guns! Other guests will pay a quarter to shoot water at riders and it can drench you if you've avoided getting wet up to that point. I know this from experience, I got blasted with water that was so strong that it knowed a contact lense clear out of my eye!! Thankfully I carried spares with me. I had avoided getting wet on the drop other than the odd splash but after the water gun I was soaked from head to foot!!

My DH and DS always wear gym shoes in the parks. Can I put their shoes in a locker and get in line and ride the ride barefoot?

No. Shoes must be worn at all times at the parks.

The dress code is enforced at all the rides as well

Aha. I wore crocs Athens on ripsaw and those are flip flops. We carry those with us on the wet ride days.

I don't wear unsecured shoes on dragon challenge, forbidden journey, dr doom, etc, and would bet they aren't allowed on those because you might lose them and the shoe would then cause problems in a variety of ways, but on water rides that's not an issue.

On FJ, you can wear flip flops. I often do, as I hate hot feet. Anyway, just cross your legs at the ankles and they don't fly off. Was never told couldn't ride on the other rides either, just always cross my legs. On FJ, I've also seen people take off their flop flops and hold them or put in the little compartment behind their back.

Yeah. We wore ponchos. It was late October and cloudy and chilly. Worthless. The water went inside the ponchos and under the ponchos and then when we thought we were in the clear, people shot us with the water guns.

HAHA Mac, i have more fun with them than the ride itself, and the water is freezing
