any1 have to wait days for seller to sign & return contract?
So we already know i have no patience. Offer made tues. We offered $3 pp over asking price, accepted wed. Contracts sent friday at noon. We signed & sent back a few hrs later with payment. So even though fidelity is closed sat & sun., they still had most of friday, sat, sun and yesterday to at least sign the papers. Sharon said they expect them back today. (Tues) I think she's just telling me this because i'm annoying her. She knows we want to get the ball rolling on this. If its taking this long, i can't imagine how long its going to take if/ when Disney passes & we have to wait to close & we have to wait for them to get documents notarized. :-( its especially difficult when i read posts where both parties get them faxed back within hours. They got the offer hours after their listing was posted because she told us about it early. Couldnt they show us some kind of punctuality?

We recently had an offer accepted and it took the sellers 8 days to sign and fax the contracts back. I hope they are a bit faster if we pass ROFR. I do agree that it can be frustrating since I can be impatient also

Idk about yours but it says right on the contracts "time sensitive documents" come on people. I hope theres actually an excuse for taking this long. In which case id probably sound like a jerk but it was pretty easy to print off, sign & run to the bank to fax.

Sellers have to have the docs notarized.
All parities on the deed need to sign. Some sellers mentally feel that selling is a sign of weakness/failure. Bill

We're not at the end of the process, we're at the beginning! The notary process isnt until the end. But whatever the case, whatever reason they needed to get out of it we did offer more than they we're asking. :-) thats a plus. Im gonna have to do yoga or read up on how to exercise patience. :-)

Yes you are correct no notarization until final sale. We made an offer on a contract which was excepted with Fidelity on a Thursday and I had to call on Monday late afternoon to ask where our contract was to sign and fax back! Finally got them around 5:00PM. At the same time we were selling a contract through TSS and got the call with an offer mid morning on the Saturday we excepted the offer and had the contracts in my email about an hour later, printed, signed and by Saturday evening I got an email saying they were sent off to Disney for ROFR! Amazing

I found out once our recent purchase (once it got posted on OCC), that the seller had the document signed and notarized a full 12 days before he sent them back. I guess some are just not in a hurry.

Feb 22nd we offered asking price. The seller was notified that day and said great and she would fax the papers back that afternoon. The papers weren't received until 3/11. Sellers apologized and said they had a unexpected family matter arise. Not really sure why someone would feel selling a timeshare would make some people feel its a sign of weakness or failure. I can think of several reason why a person would want to sell their points and a failure or a weak person isn't one of them.

It is indeed frustrating working with an unmotivated person on the other end of a contract. Waiting time just seems longer. Hope you close sooner rather than later.
