Dream Deck 8 Verandas?

We have just been assigned Room 8042 on the Dream for 5/2/13!

But I'm having a hard time figuring out if the veranda is oversized or not. We booked a 5e GTY, which would have given us an oversized veranda, which I was really looking forward to. I swear when I looked at Disney's website last night that Room 8042 was a 5e, but now that I'm researching it, I'm not so sure. And of course, I see the reservation from here because apparently you need your reservation number each time, and it is at home. Anyway, does anyone know if this room has a small veranda or an oversized veranda?

It is next to the stairs/elevators, and apparently one of the interactive detective thingies, but I think we'll be OK with the noise. Being near the stairs will be convenient AND help with my claustrophobia.

Boo. Any idea why is it considered "better" (as in, "guaranteed 5e or better")?

I'm not going to bother trying to change, but I'm a bit bummed. Oh time!

Thanks for your help.

5B as a category is better than a 5E because of the location. It's more mid ship, whereas 5E is all the way in the back.

The 5E cat has great staterooms, and a couple of HUGE ones. The verandah's are oversize, however, there are some issues with vibration, specially when the ship docks backing in. The reverse thrusters kick the water into the hull and the vibration is pretty obvious - this can last a good 20-30' early in the morning.

Also, the 5E in deck 10 are right below Cabanas and can get some noise in the morning due to the breakfast traffic.

You got upgraded to a 5B. Stateroom will be the same size, but the verandah actually smaller. However, you will be closer to things located in the front of the ship.
