All Star Music or Art of Animation

Hi all, we are trying to decide. Family suite at the Art of Animation or All Star Music. Just wondering it the extra $500 is really worth it. I read somewhere AoA has it's own buses, seems like a pretty big benefit. Has anyone stayed at both? Would love to hear your opinions!
thanks, Lara

I am going to DW for the 1st time, I chose AOA for our family of 6, although my difference was only 200. For all I know we may never go again, and I think that the rooms at AOA are just so much cooler than Music. I just think it will add more to our experience.

I have stayed at AoA yet but have stayed in a suite at ASMu. I think the differences in bus service would be minimal.

AoA has interior corridors.

AoA has a larger table and the Murphy bed and sleep sofa are more separated while ASMu are very close. Both sleep 6 but AoA has 3 beds while ASMu has 4.

ASMu has a bigger kitchenette. Bathrooms look nicer at AoA.

Food court offerings are different.

AoA has the Big Blue pool with underwater music.

AoA seems more Disney. I can't wait to see it!

We are also a family of six and stayed in a family suite at Music on our last trip and really liked it. Some of the features that we really liked include the space and layout, the living room has three pull out bed options so our two oldest kids didn't have to share a bed with anyone, the kitchenette is in its own separate hallway like area, and the Music suites are located in the buildings closest to the food court and bus stop. The buses at Music ran good during our trip., Music usually had its own dedicated bus and we only shared with the other All Stars a few times during our trip which were during the least busiest times of the day; but the All Stars are all right next to each other (within easy walking distance) so bus sharing really isn't a big deal time wise. We wanted to try AOA for our upcoming trip but DH said the extra $456 it would cost for us to stay there could be used for other things. Also, my DD11 detests the idea of sharing a bed with anyone so that would be an issue for us if we stayed at AOA. I really wanted to stay there while my kids were all still young enough to enjoy the theming and since it is a new family suite option at the value resort pricing level. I prefer a family suite over getting two regular rooms, but our goal is to have a new resort experience for this trip which is why we didn't book the Music suite again.
OP, if all your kids don't mind sharing beds and the price difference isn't an issue then I would go for AOA. AOA is still a possibility for us though. I am still trying to convince DH that the extra $456 is worth it! We probably won't be back to Disney for 2-3 more years so with our kids ages now would definitely be the time to stay there. We just might have to bring an air mattress for DD11!

I chose AoA. I also wondered at the price difference but I like the fact that AoA is newer, the fact that the beds seem more comfortable (I have read that the chair and ottoman beds aren't that comfortable), the eating space is a bit larger, the pool at AoA looks better, I thought that there'd be a lower probability of AoA being filled with teens on class trips compared to ASMu (no discounts on LM rooms and mostly family suites), and finally, my 2 year old is a Lion King freak!

Just checked of AoA with my brood of 6 and it was worlds apart from the other values. The seperate bed and bath was awesome had enough space in that room for our port a crib too. My other 3 had plenty of space to themselves. Buses were pretty frequent. Cms were all nice. Big blue pool was amazzzzing, couldve spent all day there. The price imho is def worth it. We will be back.
