Adding Some Disney Magic To A Warrior's Year Of Wishes!Update Chiefs PICTURES 8/10

Hi all, I'm so excited to be back and starting a new PTR. Especially this PTR as it may very well be the most important one I ever write. More on that later, as well as the background behind my title.

Update: List of Wishes post #36

For now let me introduce you to the star of the cast.
My DH, the WARRIOR I refer to in my title.

John is the bravest person I know. He's a 100% disabled Veteran who has served his country in both the ARMY and MARINE CORP, though he is a Marine at heart! He came into my life when I was a single mother with a very sick infant and two toddlers. He stepped into the daddy role pretty much immediately and has never looked back. He is strong, passionate about his country and those he loves. He is also loud and opinionated, a bit gruff on the outside but a total teddy bear (shh, don't tell him I said that) on the inside.

I think he deserves his own post so I'll stop right here and come back to introduce the rest of the cast.

so glad to see this PTR, I have been following you on Judy's thread and think John's year of wishes is a great idea! I was glad to hear about the new truck, an extra bonus in the year of wishes.

My dad is a totally disabled vet as well.

Danygirl, Welcome! This PTR is really important to me. If people are willing to bear with me I intend to chronicle John's entire year of wishes leading up to his big, mega, wish for his 43rd. Birthday! The truck was such an amazing miracle and came at the perfect time to start his year of wishes of with a bang!

What branch of the Military did your dad serve in?

So now that I've introduced you to my wonderful DH I suppose I should introduce the rest of our regular cast (we might have a few guest cast members along for part of our adventures.)

Me: Krystal, 34 year old lover of all things Disney, wife, mother, caregiver, chief trip planner and organizer of this "year of wishes" I have referred to and will shortly explain in more detail.
I think you can figure out which one I am

DD16: Tessa, my wonderful oldest daughter, amazing artist, talented performer, fairy lover and the type of person who always wants to make things better for everybody.

DD14: Jenna, my equally wonderful middle child, smart, spunky, sassy, talented funny (a real little comedian), animal lover, Minnie's biggest fan and lover of all Princesses.

DS12: Jonnie, my special little man (not so little anymore), bright, active, gamer, comic lover, duck obsessed, fellow Disney lover, Seussaholic, sweet, lovable cool kid.

A picture of the kid's last time we went to WDW

And a recent family photo
So there we are in a nut shell, next up some back story and an explanation of our title.

WE BELIEVE IN MIRACLES! ~~Nearly twice as many children die from Congenital Heart Defects in the U.S. each year as die from all forms of childhood cancers combined.

Judy, Your'e here! I know how busy you are, but it's good to see you over here. Thanks. I like the pics too and have some others I have to share too from the same session as the family pic. A friend of mine gifted that session to us right after John got out of the hospital. I'm hoping all my plans come together and I have a bunch of wishes come true to share.

Can't wait to hear more. You've got some beautiful kids there! And I would love to know how to do all those cool photo effects.

Your hubby sounds alot like mine. Must be the marine in them! (The kids and I like to compare him to a roasted marshmallow, crusty on the outside, gooey on the inside. He hates that... )

I'm looking forward to reading more of your year of wishes... sounds like a lot of exciting stuff!

Krystal posted this on our thread earlier today :

"For Judy and Lisa B and all the rest of you that have wished for magic and pixie dust to follow us on Johns trip to Comic Con. I think Tinkerbell must have been flying over our heads today!!! We have been blessed beyond my wildest dreams."

I can't wait to see/hear what happened!!!
