We did our first MNSSHP last Sept and had a ball. DH and I, no kids. I was impressed that he got into it, let me spray his hair (see avatar), he hit every candy station. We cannot wait to go back this year! Have been searching for a good couples costume idea. So fun!.

The first two early MK closures are for Night of Joy. The first MNSSHP is Sept 10. Of course, nothing is official until party tickets go on sale, but this should be accurate.

Thanks. I assume that even though it doesn't specifically mention MNSSHP any night where MK closes at 7 is a MNSSHP night? That's a good thing, since I was hoping the 20th would be.

Correct. Any night except for those two that I mentioned above.

They did in the last couple of days. See the top of this page for predictions.

My dream has come true! We are going for 7 days in Oct and 10 days in Dec!! We just added the 7th day to Oct so we are hoping that will allow us enough time for 2 parties. We are also traveling with friends who have been to WDW once, but during h-e double hockey sticks (aka the month of August) and they are planning on attending one night because there are 4 of them and their DD is considered an adult by Disney standards.

Would this work for a mid October party?

This sounds like a great idea! I've been thinking of how to handle this and most character greets in general since you could suck up a lot of time waiting in line, and originally my plan was to arrive to MK at 4pm, head over to Pirate's League (if it's open that late) as to be in line for the dwarves by 6 so that we might be one of the first groups in, then head over for Villians Mix N Mingle, do a few rides, Hallowishes, hit up another Villians Mingle if time allows before watching the late parade then end in new FL so we have an hour to ride FL rides with the kids. It SOUNDS doable, but we've never been to MNSSHP and our kids, though night owls, are young so I just never know how they'll handle it all. I've heard the last hour or 2 of the party is really the best time to ride rides and meet characters, so I hope we can make it through.

Pirate's League?

Does anyone know if/when hours for the Pirate's League will be available for October party dates? I'd like to have the kids done up there prior to attending the party, but I know that they are not always open late or during MNSSHP so I was just curious. Thanks!

Yes, I would schedule as early as possible. Dinner opens there at 4 PM. And you don't really want to rush the experience.

FWIW..... that is the night of the Villains Bash at DHS. So I'm guessing this will be one of the lowest crowd nights EVER at MNSSHP. Wish I could be there!
I did consider to visit DHS for the Villains Bash and do MNSSHP on tuesday (10th Sept) instead, which will probably be crowded as it is the first party for this year.
I have a feeling that DHS will be really crowded due to its extended opening hours and the extra activities from Villains Bash don't sound appealing to me. That's why we have decided to do MNSSHP on friday instead.

Thanks for sharing your strategy. We don't usually take pictures with characters when we are at the park as we tend to just do the rides.
Seven dwarfs are the only exception.
Its unbelievable that people would queue at 6pm already for the dwarfs

I assume there is only one queue and that's one picture to be taken with all seven dwarfs? My partner really likes dopey so can he take a pic with only dopey in it?

Historically, you get pics with all seven together with no autographs.

In my opinion, using party time to focus on rides is not a great way to go. But, if you're willing to pay a high premium for short wait times then it makes sense.
