Vibe and internet Usage

I have 2 teens who will be in Vibe (in 3 days)

Is Internet usage there free or do the minutes come off of the package we buy?
Do they log in with the password you are given when we purchase the internet package?

Thanks

No free internet. But you want to make sure your teens understand that internet on the ship is slower than they've ever seen. You probably seen it - remember dialup? Basically as slow as dialup - sometimes worse.

Push them towards being unplugged for a few days. Internet is EXPENSIVE and most of the times you'll spend half of the minutes in trying to connect.

My kids turned off their phones and any internet things for 7 days. Even when we were in St. Thomas and the child with AT&T could have used it for free, she didn't. They received iPads for Christmas while we were onboard, and never opened them until we got home.

It was very nice. Your kids can live without it.

Another vote for no internet on board. The only time we purchased a package was on the Transatlantic and we ended up getting half of it refunded because it was so painfully slow.

My kids are definitely connected at home, but we have never (aside from the Transatlantic) offered them the option to be connected at sea and they don't have a problem with it. If you set the expectation ahead of time there won't be any questioning of it once you are on board.
