Gah. How stupid. Don't say the sale is going to start at one time and then not have it.

The time on the main website now says 1 Day, 6 hours and 27 minutes but that the time to book is now. Then there is an error when you try to book.

That was a major fail.

I just called the loews number and was told they have no IT person to fix the problem right now!

He also confirmed that the Universal properties won't be given the rates until 7am tomorrow.

I currently have a two-day stay booked at the APH rate...pretty good discount in it's own right, but was hoping to add a day with this "sale"...if it was better pricing. (doubtful).
Guess I'd better just call and add the day with my APH rate before they disappear.

On the Loews facebook site they say, "we've been told by our site team that Universal bookings will be available starting at 9:30 PM EDT. We completely understand your frustration and are working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue."

I think the new clock is how long it is until the sale is over. Right now 9:53 PM EDT, it's at 1 day 5 hr 7 min, which will be 3 AM May 12 EDT, or midnight May 11/12 PDT, so it looks like the sale lasts until midnight on the West coast.

I'm getting rates now, but they're the same SMSM rates it was showing before the sale started.

Portofino Bay gave me a rate of $308/night for a Garden View queen. I put in the APH code and it gave me a rate of $189/night.

I tried Hard Rock and was given a rate of $279 for a Std Queen
and APH $219 for a Pool Queen.

Royal Pacific $254 Standard and APH rate $164 same room.

So are these lower rates than before? I booked Portofino Bay and will buy an AP. I am not 100% sure, but I checked rates a few weeks ago and I think the AP rate for Portofino and Hard Rock was a little more.

Well, almost progress - instead of just bombing out, it does now take me to a pricing page.

Though, for the dates I'm looking at - 6/19 to 6/23, it's only showing the rack rate, not even the Stay More Save More pricing (though I can still see the SMSM rates if I go through the regular link for all the Loews Orlando hotels).

Guess I'll try this again in the morning.
