Question best day of week to visit Sea World?

We will be visiting Anaheim from May 1st through 12th. We are buying Deluxe APs so we will be blocked out the 2 Saturdays we are there, which is fine as they are likely busy days regardless and my husband swears he is not going to DL every.single.day like the rest of us would!!

We are wondering though, if Saturday would be a good or bad day to visit Sea World - or if we should wait and go there on a weekday, but then we might be giving up on one of the slower days at DLR?

On the day we do plan to go to Sea World we plan to get up very early and drive down to be there before the the park opens and will already have our tickets, to get the most out of the day early on, and then head back to Anaheim the same day.

Any advice is greatly appreciated as always!

Before reading your post I was going to suggest a Saturday or Sunday for visiting SW. The biggest reason has to do with traffic from Anaheim to SD. It will be terrible on weekdays.

With your blockout situation, the other benefit you get is to use one of your blockout days on a Saturday.

If Saturday a bad day to visit SW? I dunno. Probably weekdays are better there too but you can do a lot in a single day at SW. Get there early and you should be fine.

Thanks for the advice on traffic - I do not want to spend my vacation in traffic - hopefully getting up early on Saturday would mean for less traffic driving down.

We always spend our block out Saturday at Seaworld on our summer vacation every year. Traffic isn't bad, especially if you leave early and plan on being there at opening. We always get all the shows in, don't miss one they are all fantastic! We enjoy the aquariums as well. At park opening they have characters out for meet and greets, pretty fun! The lines for rides are shortest first thing in the morning too. Our boys are too small for the big ones, so not sure on those yet! Crowds are biggest late morning until dinner time. It's not uncomfortably crowded though. You are still able to move freely. Think Disneyland on a moderately busy day. I hope that helps

I recommend the breakfast or dinner with Shamu. It is very cool to eat while he swims around and they do a little presentation of him with a volunteer. It is laid back and you eat pretty close to the pool. My kids, and I loved it! We had breakfast and the food was good. This was two years ago, so I'm not sure if it is different now or not. We love Sea World!
