Downtown Disney breakfast

What are the best options for breakfast at DTD? Any experience with gluten free options at DTD breakfast options as well? Thanks.

I think WPE is one of the few that serve breakfast.

Yes, and I just read that they are adding some additional choices to the breakfast menu.

Also, SSR is really close by - great breakfast choices at Artist's Palette (had an egg white/spinach/mushroom omelette there a few weeks ago....SO GOOD!)

SHHHHH!!! Don't tell anyone about Artist's Palette!!! I don't wanna share when I'm there this June!!!!

Seriously, when it comes to one of the nice, understated, and lesser-known options in all of WDW, I think AP is it. Now, this is NOT a heavily themed sit-down full service restaurant - its a simple grill-to-order place right in the SSR Carriage House that just has a simple, reasonably priced menu that also happens to be really, really good...omelete breakfasts, breakfast pizza, all cooked to order and prepared quickly. Comparable offers at lunch/donner. No big floor shows or anything like that, just a very pleasant, simple meal experience.

Aside from that and Earl of Sandwich (yum), I can't think of any other restaurants in DTD that are even open for breakfast. At that time of day, the entire area is pretty deserted.

We enjoyed our breakfast at WPE. In fact my mom enjoyed her omelet so much that she went up to the chef and told her how much she enjoyed it. (she's never done that before) We were sitting at one of the 2 tables located right in the kitchen area so the chef was right there.

We were on the QSDP so it wasn't a great use of a CS since the meals are pretty reasonable. Which is good news if you are paying OOP.

My DD and I each had the waffle.

Here's my waffle. I asked for the fruit and whipped cream on the side since I don't like my waffle soggy.

My mom's omelet-Spinach, Mushroom and Cheese Omelet. I had bite of the omelet and the potatoes and both were very good.

Sorry I can't help much on the gluten free. Babycakes NYC has gluten free items.
