My Surprise Plan!
I have finally convinced my parents to go on a cruise with us! Dad doesn't think it will happen until 2015 but I'm still getting very excited! The trip would of course include my 3 younger brothers who are at the moment 11, 8, and 5. I want to surprise the boys and I wanted to share with you all my general plan. I know it's almost 2 years away but I want this to be something that they will never forget.
So here we go:
We will have a subtle themed Disney dinner, I don't want to give anything away.
Then we will start the series of clues:
1st a clue for, the 8 year old:
8 cards with one letter on each that spell out VACATION. He has to scramble it to spell the word. Remember, at this point we hope none of them will suspect a thing.
2nd a clue for the 5 year old:
A puzzle with an airplane on it, to reveal that we have to fly to get where we are going.
3rd for the oldest:
Give him a list of US airports. Then, give him one letter at a time to the code “MCO”, but not in order. Give him “C” first and let him eliminate all the airports without the letter “C” in their code first, and so on until he figures out what airport we are flying in to.
4th for the 8 year old again:
Some kind of clue revealing that there is something Disney to the trip. I haven't figured this one out yet.
5th again back to the baby:
A nautical clue, this is one that I haven't quite chosen either.
Last but not least a clue for the oldest that leads him to a certain track on a CD that plays “Beyond the Sea”
With each clue discovered, they will get a gift like new sandals, swimsuits, sunglasses, lanyard, etc.
Well, what do you think? I have put a great deal of thought into it, and we will of course get the whole thing on tape.

Suggestion... the tween might not have a clue to what MCO means - maybe Orlando instead?
Is this their first cruise? If so, be careful - they might think WDW first and be disappointed about DCL cause they don't know about it. Of course if they've been on one before, they'll be over exited!
For the baby, does he recognize Mickey's voice? If so, schedule a call to your cell or something and record it -they play it back to see if he gets the hint?
