Cat 6a?

It's a new category for me. I booked the Magic southern Caribbean cruise in one. (Trying to resist the urge to upgrade to concierge) . Anyway, 6th deck aft. It's on a bump out so larger balcony. Any thoughts or comments?

The "downside" to cat 6A is that they have solid whitewall verandahs, although that doesn't bother everyone. I'm considering booking a 6A for our Med cruise next summer. I can live with the whitewall verandah given the price difference between categories 6A and 5C. If you haven't already, check out the stateroom reviews to see what people have said about your specific room. Some of the comments about condition will not apply since the Magic will have just come out of an extended drydock when you sail, but some of the location-related feedback may still be relevant.

Thanks. I've read them. My husband and I are both very tall so the solid wall should be ok. I also like aft rooms. I'm wondering if the magic will add a concierge lounge. If they did, I'd reconsider.

We had a 6a and it was fine unless you like to sit on the balcony and look out at the water. Unless you are about 7 feet tall, you won't be able to see out while seated. You also can't see the water from your couch or bed inside the cabin.

Ah didn't think about the non view from the room. Dh is 6'8 and I'm 5'11 so I never think about height and views.
