Misc. Thoughts/Issues

Have not been here for a LONG TIME and my trip is coming up soon - June 17th!!

1. Teena - read your post on the 6 months clear. So happy for you. I think about you so often and will certainly stop by to see you this summer. Miss chatting with you on here!

2. Yc Rooms. I am the resident expert on YC CLUB LEVEL however no club this summer. I know I am slumming it! I can recall from the 5th floor the only room I ever stayed in there was the gazebo view. Help me expand my horizons at YC Garden View Room. I am going blank as to what other views are there in garden that might offer a lagoon sideways glimpse - guess it is just the gazebo view or ????

3. Yachtsman for dinner...yeah or nay and/or has Cape May kept the BBQ ribs and shrimp? Bet Teena knows this

4. Have I missed anything in the last several months in regards to anything on yc/bc operations? Any changes etc that I should know about? I have been gone about 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks! melissa

As dansdad said, the coffee makers are Mr. Coffee machines and take regular, flat-bottomed filters. I think the studios have 4 cup makers and the 1 BR and 2 BR have the larger 10 cup.
Hi!
Yes, please add me. We love the BC. When we joined DVC with BCV as our home resort, we originally planned on visiting all the resorts. First visit we tried BLT since there was nothing available at BC during the F&W fest. We're set to arrive on May 4th, and that will be our 3rd consecutive trip there... so much for trying the other resorts.

Hi everyone I've read every page of this thread and feel like I know you all now! I've long lurked on these boards and am happy to announce my family is joining your ranks and would love to be added to the Be Our Guest list:

We are doing a split stay WL 10/25-10/30 and BC 10/30-11/4

Now a question for all of you experts--does anyone know the price of cheese sticks, half-gallons of milk, and fruit at the Marketplace? I think I saw milk, cheese and fruit in the Marketplace pictures, but getting an idea on prices will help me decide whether to do an order with Garden Grocer or just get stuff at the Marketplace.

Thanks for your help on this.

Can someone tell me which golf course would be the easiest to get to from BC using WDW transportation. If needed, could always do a cab. If he cabs it, which course should DH play?

As a DVC member, I can see the order form on the DVC website in case I want to order from the Marketplace and have the stuff brought up to my room. I believe the prices are the same as if I purchase the stuff myself in the marketplace. Here are the prices from the order form:

1 red apple: $1.49
1 green apple: $1.49
1 orange: $1.49
1 banana: $1.49
1 grapefruit: $1.49
1 pint of strawberries: $9.99
1 pint of blueberries: $8.99
1 pint of raspberries: $9.99
1/2 gallon Borden whole milk: $2.95
1/2 gallon Borden 1% milk: $2.95
1/2 gallon Borden fat free milk: $2.95
Kraft Cheese, colby, 8 oz: $5.95
Kraft Cheese, cheddar, 8 oz: $5.95
Dietz & Watson, block of NY Sharp cheddar: $6.95
Dietz & Watson, block of Muenster: $6.95
Dietz & Watson, block of smoked gouda: $7.95

It doesn't say how big the "block" is.

I didn't see the "cheese sticks" on the list.

francileb, remember to take the delivery fee and tip into account when doing your caculations. If you do not need a bunches of stuff, it may be easier to just get it from the market.

It is official, DH and I just booked for 5/24-5/28 YC Garden view! So excited there were passholder discount rooms left on the holiday weekend. We mainly plan on doing DHS and Epcot. Dh is excited about Star Wars Weekend. Can't wait to sit on the balcony with a Boardwalk Bakery pastry and coffee.

Just about a month left until our YC trip! I'm sure this has been asked before, but what kind of room request should I make for Garden View (non CL)? I would love to have a view of the boardwalk or EPCOT, but are all these views considered Lagoon/Water?

Don't know yet. The activities schedule for the Yacht & Beach Club will be released on May 1- as soon as I get a copy, I will post it here.

The campfire was at 6:30 in March and April this year, and was at 7:30 last May.

As someone else posted, just marshmallows, but if you bring your own chocolate and grahams, you could make s'mores.
