And this is why we loved EMH so much (and probably why it is slowly going away). There is hardly anyone there past midnight....

Check out Undercover Tourist. We have purchased from them several times, including a couple of weeks ago. Right now it is taking about 2 weeks to receive the tickets from them so don't wait if your trip is soon!

Make sure your reservations are "linked" in the Disney system. That will help the room assignor know what you are doing and should eliminate having to move rooms. (I also mention it at the first check in, just to be safe) You will need to go to the front desk on the 15th to re-check in and probably have new room cards made.

If you are lucky they might be able to let you stay in the same room so you won't have to move your stuff. Do you have it noted as one of your preferences so that the room assigner would know you have two reservations?

It would be nice if they could do this. And it would save them some work, too.

If you are getting the dining plan, I know you need a ticket for at least one day, per person. Do you need to get that ticket directly from Disney?

Or stated differently- are you able to use UT for tickets if you plan on getting the dining plan?

You have to purchase tickets from Disney in order to get the dining plan. The only exception is for Annual Pass holders. And people renting points have special arrangements to make outside of the Disney system, I believe.

No true reason to post anything except to say, I'm so happy that they came out with a 30% discount (saved us an extra $600)
Also, I just like seeing the ticker every once in a while.

And now back to your regular scheduled program...

When checking in at the Beach Club, do you have to use a bellman to unload your car and take your luggage to the room or can you just get a luggage cart and do it yourself? How far is the parking area in case we don't unload everything all at once and need to go back to the car?

BC Villa or YC for MIL

Hello all!

Man we are getting close to our big trip! We are doing 7 nights CL at BC and my MIL has decided to join us for 2 of those nights. Of course we already have 6 people in our room so she can't stay with us. At the moment she is booked at a value resort, but we are hoping to be able to pay for a room closer to us using our AP discount.

Right now the only standard room options (which is already more than we can afford to add to our budget) are at YC and then there is a similarly priced room at BC Villas.

My question is as we are staying CL at BC which room choice would be the most convenient to get to us? YC or BCV? I think YC is a tad cheaper, but I'm concerned it will be far. Obviously either way we'll try and put in a request that she be put closer to where we are.

TIA!
Heather

Probably depends on where your actual room is. But, we had friends who stayed CL on our last trip and we stayed BCV, and it was very convenient. We would pass their room on the way to Epcot, so we would meet there. When we went to any other park, we wold meet at the Marketplace as it was in between our two locations.

The Bellman have the carts, so you have to use them. Your best bet would be to drop one person at the entrance to do check-in, see if you have a room yet (rarely is that the case in the mornings, not sure what time you plan to arrive). Then you can pretty easily walk from the parking lot with your stuff later. Depending on how much stuff you have. Honestly, if you have a bunch of luggage it's worth coughing up the bucks for a bellman. Plus they can store your stuff if your rooms not ready. Remember, its DISNEY, you'll be broke by the end of the trip anyway.

Thanks JulieT3! I'm super excited about this trip! I think the bounce back will be a great savings & Im really considering the AP! Do you have AP? Does TIW last from yer when you bought it? As this trip we having dining plus plan, so wouldn't need TIW until the fall trip. Where do you buy TIW? When will you be there in oct?
We just let our APs expire, and I don't know if we will get new ones, but we will definitely miss the TIW card! As of right now, we'll be there the last week in October, but if they come out with a fall discount for the prior week, we will change our reservation. Unfortunately, the bounce back didn't cover that week.
