How nice to post these! I have a tendency to interpret driving "down" a road as heading south (I suppose from living in NYC and Chicago) so I was confused at first by the thread title. So for the benefit of anyone unfamiliar with the DLR area who also (ahem) talks like me, these photos are going north, up Harbor Blvd. towards the Freeway.

(Of course, if right or left were involved, I would have no clue. From the passenger seat, my DBF sometimes requires me to point in the direction we need to go, to avoid me yelling "I meant that way!" because my ADHD brain once again called left right.)

Patrick and bjsheel, if folks here used Google Street View they wouldn't ask about tis all the time! If the thread isn't useful to you, skip it, but no need to be snarky when someone is doing something to help others.

Dreams, thanks for taking the time to do this. The virtual walk was fun!

I honestly don't think both of them were trying to be snarky about it. They were just suggesting other things that people could consider doing. As someone said, not everyone is quite that internet friendly yet, so although some may know how to post on forums, they may not know how to work Google Maps.

Regardless, thank you for the pictures, Dreams! They're very helpful for trying to find closer hotels to the walkway

Thank you for posting the pictures. It's good to know what the BWPPI looks like from the outside with their remodeling. I'll be there in 13 days. Again, Thanks.

Wow, who knew there could be drama over a thread like this!

I have a pretty good idea of the layout (or I like to think), but it always helps to have something like this for reference. Thanks

Ahahaha! Sorry about that! I am laughing because I am truly directionally dysfunctional and could (have?) get lost once I'm about 5 blocks from home so it never dawned on me, but you have a very valid point for those who are able to find North. Which is SOOO not me! ahahahaha! Driving along Harbor? And yes, I turn the map when I'm navigator! Seriously. Drives DH nuts.

And that is the reason why the previous poster mentioned google street view. I don't think that poster was trying to be mean but just trying to carack a joke.

Anyway I am not here to bash the OP. I am very grateful towards anyone who go out of their way for others to lend advice even if the information can be found elsewhere. Even though I always use google street view, I was still interested in reading/seeing this thread.

THank you OP for taking the time out of your day to take these pictures and to share it with everyone else. Keep the pics coming

This is great for the hotels....I'm hoping to find something like this with the restaturants. I see you have IHOP and Denny's and McD's. I know there is a Mimi's Cafe next to the HoJo. There used to be a Quizno's right across the street somewhere too...not sure if that's still there? We're on a somewhat strict diet (or, we TRY to be) and I was hoping to look at more of our restaurant choices along Harbor.

Great post, thank you! If you need an excuse for another trip to the parks, I'd love to see what it's like to cross the street and head towards the parks
