Playing with baby.... where on Wonder?
On next cruise my baby will be 16 months old.
I don't want to leave him at a club or a babysitter.
I would like to take him somewhere where he can play with toys, run around and such.
Can we go into one of the kids clubs and do that???

Really only the nursery has "toys" and I'm not sure they have "open house" like the other kids clubs, though I read something about "family time" in the nursery that might be what you'd like. There really aren't toys in the club during open house but you are welcome to bring him in there for playing/climbing; obviously you'd want to stay close because it's designed for older kids plus there are kids of varying ages in there at that time. Otherwise, maybe you'll want to bring a few toys for him to play with in your stateroom.
Enjoy your cruise!

On the Magic (and the Wonder should be similar) they have Toddler time or something similar on the sea day mornings in the Promenade Lounge. They put out soft toddler friendly toys and then had playhouse Disney Music and dancing type activities.
There is open house in the club. You can look for those times. There were some nice soft (and small toddler friendly) climbing toys in there along with a small slide. (which is different from the pirate ship slide and definately more toddler friendly).

We went on the Magic when my youngest was 10 months and again at 26 months so you are splitting the difference for us.
If noone else was up there - we would let her run around and play with the balls on the sports deck. She liked to chase after her sister with the basketball.
We spent a lot of time on deck 4 just walking around together.
I found it wasn't that hard to find places that weren't that crowded for her to just be able to run around and play. During the day Beat Street (which is Route 66 on the Wonder) is open for all and she loved playing in the hallway there and climbing into and out of the window seats.

we traveled with our 18 mo. old and found a "hidden" deck at the back of the ship on deck 7. It is public but no one was ever there. it has high steel walls so he was perfectly safe. with it always empty, it was great place to bring his cars etc. and let him run. it was a pretty good size enclosed deck. it also had chairs for us. We will totally be using it on our next cruise!

For water activities there is the small splash zone. Sometimes the nursery people will also bring out toys kids can play with there. We often just grab a cup or two from the fountain area and our DD has had a ball playing with these in the splash zone

When we did our Trans-Atlantic Cruise there was a mom that was often in one of my hideouts (quiet place to read) playing with her 12 month old ( I am guessing age). She would bring a blanket and some toys and spread it out in the corner. It was the Diversions, a quited bar that was setup for families to play board games or watch sports games on TV. I also seen her in the Promenade Lounge with her child playing games at the table. I seen the mom in the evening at one of the Adult outing and asked where her baby was. She told me "In the Nursery, got to have me time". This young mom was able to find play time and me time on a 14 day cruise. I am sure you can also.
