<-- here.

Thought you might like to know you left Queen M's "real" name in the first line of the above post, if you want to edit - seemed you were trying to avoid that.

I'm loving this TR, btw.

Oops--thanks! She and I don't care, but her DH might-- if he had any idea that I was writing this, or if he actually had any idea that there was an entire forum devoted to talking about Disney trip reports lol.

Better that he remains in the dark about these things!

Home as a new year's treat. My gift to me! We are from delco PA and fly out of Philly too. Have a total visual of ur departure. Ok ...I will now read on. Just had to say Hi in the middle of my LAUGHTER!

Always nice to see another local girl! Aren't girl's trips the best? And isn't our airport the PITS?

All caught up now - having a great time reading your report ao (can I address you as ao now that I have become a follower of sorts?). Had to laugh when you mentioned the pit stops for popcorn. Our last trip was with our DD, DSIL and DGD who was 3 at the time. We ended each day at the MK with popcorn from the cart at the entrance. Such great memories.

The funny is, of course every single we do has to end up being a new tradition. Stopping for popcorn at certain stands has now become an item on our "must do" list!

Well, you might wonder how the YES program turned out. This is Queen Ms take on it, since she did it and I didn't.

"You told me it was only going to be 1 ½ hours and it was really 2 ½ hours."

Remember, Queen M is a smoker, so this sort of information is vitally important to her.

"J had a good time once she came out from under the stroller canopy, but she was the youngest one there and some of it was over her head."

See, I knew she should have been in the other group!

I did spy on the final goodbyes and saw J hugging several other people, so I know she did have a good time. They went on several rides: Barnstormer is the only one I still remember. They also designed some sort of machine, (on paper, Disney isn't that into this program) I have no idea what, possibly a roller coaster.

So it seemed fun and we might do it again sometime, now that we know where to meet. It used to be a much better deal, money-wise, since parents used to get a substantial discount and now they don't. My overall take was that it was fun, but don't expect to be wowed.

Queen M and J enjoy a private moment-- somewhere.

We high-tailed it over to New Fantasyland to join the droves for lunch at the new Be Our Guest restaurant. A few things to keep in mind if you go there:
You have to park your stroller back in the stroller area, which of course is not very close to the entrance to the restaurant.

Your child might not want to get out of her stroller when she's had such as busy morning designing rollercoasters. Ours didn't.

The line moves pretty quickly, but half an hour is still half an hour. And its half an hour from where the path up to the restaurant starts.

Confusion reigns at the self-serve kiosks. Fortunately, there were CMs going from kiosk to kiosk to help people figure out how to order their food. Technology might be everywhere, but not everyone knows how to use it.

They give you a pager in the form of a rose that you put on your table and, lo and behold, someone wheels your food out on a serving cart, a'la the dancers in the Beauty and the Beast show. But with less fanfare.

Figure out which room you want to be in before you sit down. There are three rooms: one has the falling snow, one is the west wing and the other has the statue of Belle and the Beast. We sat in the west wing and I wouldn't do it again, for two reasons.

It was freezing in there. I know its supposed to be a grim place, but couldn't it be a warm, grim place?

It was dark. I supposed this is unavoidable, since no one is supposed to ever go there but the Beast.

And one more point: don't sit anywhere near the rose, unless you want your lunch constantly interrupted by people squeezing past you to take pictures in front of it.

Doesn't sound like we liked it very much, does it? Well, we did. The food was great, and different than the usual counter fare. Plus having it brought out on a serving tray was very cool.

We took some pictures in front of the stained glass window, but J had reached critical mass and was on the verge of a small explosion.

Princess J was not particularly happy, so I smiled for both of us. There's not really a crown in the middle of this stained glass--that's Photobucket's fault -- or maybe mine.

It was actually getting hot out of course, now that we've spent a small fortune on long pants and jackets so we searched out a few inside rides, caught a few more jewels from Ariel, yo-hoed with Johnny for a bit, endured the singing and dancing dolls and headed back for a little more pool time, now that it was warm enough to brave the pool without parkas on.

We had a dinner reservation at Chef Mickeys, J's first time there. She loved everything about this place, from the napkin twirling to dancing in the aisles with the characters. Queen M was in ecstasy over the seafood; privately, I hoped she wouldn't come down with food poisoning, since I think the words seafood and buffet don't belong in the same sentence.

J made a new friend during dinner, and for a while, I thought we would actually be taking her home with us. It amazes when parents assume you want to entertain their child --and yours-- during dinner. This little girl, who was a bit older than J, all but pulled a chair up to our table. J was thrilled, of course, as an only child, she loves to play with other kids.

The whole family spoke with an accent I could barely understand, so our conversation, which was shouted across the aisle, was limited to me mostly nodding and smiling. Maybe I agreed to adopt her and didn't know it.

J twirling her napkin; the empty chair is where the other child came from. Yes, I know, it's her Minnie dress again.

Later on, when we read that Honey Boo-Boo had been at Disney at the same time as us, and we definitely saw them at the Animal Kingdom later in the week, I briefly wondered if this kid could have been Honey Boo-Boo herself. But I'm sure -- well, pretty sure -- she wasn't. I guess we'll never know!
