Coral Reef

Just wanted to do a quick review because it's been a while since I've been to Coral Reef. Had lunch there with the fam yesterday and it was very good! This place is hit and miss with me so I was nervous but DD really wanted to go. Ordered the lobster bisque, app for two, Caesar salad and mahi mahi. Bisque was good - slightly under seasoned but that was easily remedied. App for two looked nice but I didn't have any of it (DH had it for his meal and didn't share ha). Caesar was very tasty - good dressing. The mahi was very good - perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. DD had grilled chicken which was kind of dry. Her brownie was pretty good. Wine options were decent and the pour was so so. We went at noon so they had just opened. Nice seating in a booth on the front row. Wasn't packed enough to be too loud. Service was very good - Steve was very friendly and efficient. I love the ambiance of the restaurant and am very happy to have had a good meal. I would recommend going early so everything is "fresh" and keeping expectations in check. Was a very pleasant meal!

Thanks for the review. We too have done ADRs at Coral Reef right when they open and have had good luck at those times.

We had the exact opposite experience last November, early December 2012. It was crowded, loud, and very sloooooow service. The food was ok. While we enjoy the view of the reef, visiting this location will not make the standard rotation for us for the next few visits.
