I bought a 9" vinylmation on ebay - what kind of pens do I need?

I bought a red 9" vinylmation on ebay. What kind of pens should I buy? I'm so excited to get him signed on our first cruise. I'm thinking black ink?

Thanks!

I have pictures of mine posted on another thread, for a colored vinylmation I would stick with black only and I had them use the ultra fine point sharpies.

I thought I saw a post with some images of the vinylmation's autographed but it was with fine point markers not the skinny tipped ultra fine point markers?

If anyone has examples of both that would be awesome!!!

Okay so regular ultra fine sharpies? Not a paint pen? I read a lot of threads before I bought the vinylmation so I want to make sure I don't goof it up .

marker for 9inch vinylmation

I read on the board last year that pain markers work best.Write a letter before you turn it in to be signed that you want he front signed up before they sign the back.I didn't do that and most of the signtures were on the back so when it was dropped off the last night I thought they didn't get all the characters

We just did this on the Fantasy with a green (glow-in-the-dark) Vinylmation. After reading through a couple of threads with photos, we decided to go with black ultra fine point Sharpies. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. You can't tell in the photos, but there are signatures on both arms as well. I think fine point Sharpies would have worked out well too, but with the ultra fine you can really see the idiosyncrasies of each of the signatures.

I got mine from eBay, but Amazon sells them too. I think I paid $29.95. They are called "Create Your Own" Vinylmation, but unfortunately Disney is no longer selling them.

One thing I'll say about the 9" size is that it was MUCH bigger IRL than I expected it to be. It would not fit in our checked luggage so I ended up stuffing it in my carry-on. Luckily there wasn't much else in there!

Here is the link to the thread that has my pictures. Mine were both done with the ultra fine sharpie markers. Lisa Lisa I do like how the all black turned out on the green one, vs the multi colors on mine

Thank YOU for your input on the other thread! It was your experience that sold me on going with black ultra fine Sharpies. I love your white Vinylmation with the multi-color signatures. That would have been my first choice, but my DD really wanted the glow-in-the-dark one.

As of 2 months ago I was able to call Disney merchandise and they located 3 of the 9" white Vinylmations. The kids are very excited to get them signed on our first cruise.

You are most welcome, I'm glad they turned out so well for you. We bought the green one at DTD days before our cruise. At that time I think they only had the green and yellow (maybe). I do prefer the white one though lol.

Do you think the ultra fine markers or fine markers will look better on it??

I also have a 9 inch orange one I picked up at Disney Village Marketplace in Orlando.
