Disney Visa Offers - Book With Visa, Pay Balance With Gift Cards?
Okay, I think I've actually done this before, but now I'm second guessing myself.
If I book a package open to Disney Visa card holders, do I have to put the whole balance on the Visa? Or can I put the $200 deposit on the Visa and pay for the rest a different way (such as Disney Gift cards etc.)? The fine print on the current offer reads, "Book with your Disney's Visa® Card to save up to 30% at select Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels."

deposit only. I paid my $200 deposit on my visa and then paid the rest of it off with 40 gift cards online!

It doesn't even have to be the deposit, per se. You can already have your trip booked with any type of card, but if you wish to take advantage of a DV deal you need to put down another $200 and use the DV to do it.
Just in case you don't know, keep your used up gift cards until after your trip. If you have to cancel for some reason, they will put the money back on those cards, so do not throw them away until you are 100% sure you won't need them.

AFAIK very few offers are made available to DVR members and not the general public. Most offers are available to DVR members a few days earlier than the general public.
So if you are not looking into using a DVR, then make sure the offer you are looking at is also available for the general public.
