We love to sit on top of the train station to watch the parade and fireworks. But you have to get there extra early to do so. For the MVMCP last year we got as spot by the railing around 5:30. We relaxed and people watched while waiting for the parade to start. The views were great.

We'll check that out. Sounds like a good last minute-ish spot too. Thanks!

That does sound like a great view! Not sure if we want to get there that early though. We want to see as much of the attractions as we can since my boyfriend has only been once, in High School! It's good to have another option though. Thanks!

We were there the last week in april last year, waited until the second parade after the fireworks, walked over to frontierland a few minutes before the show, and sat on the rocking chairs....it felt like the parade was just for us! We were pretty much the ONLY people over there! Every single character waved and/or came over to us. It was one of the best memories from that trip! As some of the girls were closing up the shops they came out and gave us bags of leftover cotton candy that normally would have just been thrown out!! The whole thing was magical!

Nice! That DOES sound magical! Watching the parade from rocking chairs definitely sounds like my thing, lol. I am also planning on watching the second parade so hopefully this works. Thank you so much for this tip!

Folding chairs are specifically named on the list of items
not allowed to be taken into the parks.

Chairs would be too big to be carried, they won't fit on the rides and they
won't fit in to a locker.

No way to make that work.

I could be wrong, but are the lights by the train station kept on during Wishes, and there is the flag pile in the middle? If so, that may be a hindrance for some. But again I could be wrong there.

No need to get here super duper early; this area is not in huge demand like Main St.

For Celebrate the Magic/Wishes, if you don't want to book the dessert party and don't mind camping out for a while (1 hour minimum), the yellow tables with umbrellas in front of The Plaza have a great view.
When you grab tables at these areas, you are depriving people who are eating there of the table. If you aren't eating there, you shouldn't be getting a table there.

1- Yes.

2- Yes.

3- Nope.

While the upper level of the RR Station is spectacular spot to view the evening lighted parade,
it is not a great spot to see Wishes (for the above reasons,)
and it is a really POOR location
to try to see the new "Celebrate the Magic" castle projection Wishes pre-show.

I bring a stool that folds down almost as small as my rain poncho bag and so far nobody has said anything. I had knee problems so it worked well for watching parades. http://www.amazon.com/Walkstool-Comf...rds=walk+stool
