Protein Juice Mixes
Does anyone have any experience with Protein Mixes for juice instead of shakes?
DD13 hates to eat an early breakfast. She is just like me, her system is not ready for food at 7:30 am. I often will have a Whey Protein Shake at that time but I am able to go ahead and eat breakfast around 9am which is when she and I both would rather eat. She can't do that at school. She eats either lunch or snack around 11:30 but can't go until then without having something and there is no other opportunity to eat anything between 7:45 and 11:30. She doesn't like the shakes, and we have tried yogurt smoothies but even that is just too much for her in the morning. She said to me one day "I wish I could just drink a glass of water and have that fill me up." So I am thinking about trying a Protein Mix for juice and see if that would work.
Special K makes a Protein Water Mix and GNC has some different options. They are all so expensive I would hate to get one that tastes nasty. She just wants something she can stir into water and get a good tasting juice or even into lemonade or apple juice and have it give her a big boost of protein to hold her until lunchtime.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
