Did anyone book the Kid only Pirate cruise? - Page 2 - The DIS Discussion Forums

Can someone tell me more about this? We're going in September and I'm looking for something fun for my son to do while there. Are there multiple places that this occurs at? How much does it cost? We are staying at AsMo but we will have our car there so transportation won't be a problem. Thanks!

Do the kids wear life jackets? It would make me a little nervous for my DD to go on a boat without me. How well do the CMs watch the kids?

The kids all wear life jackets . I assume the CMs watch the kids pretty good. My DS used to go every year from the time he was 4 yo until about 10 yo without incident. I've never heard of any issues but you do have to sign a waiver just in case.,

My kids did the cruise at POR in August. You have to fill out a registration and waiver at the marina. All kids wear a life jacket. There were 3 CM's plus the Captain of the boat on the cruise.

Is there a PhotoPass or other photographer on board? I think DS4 (turning 5 on our trip) would have a blast, but I'd be a little bummed to have no photos!

There was not. But you can get pictures as they leave, and if you do the one at BC/YC, with a good zoom you can get some pictures of them on their last stop, as they dig up the treasure, and chase the pirate's boat.

Just booked ours for June a couple days ago....called 407-WDW-TOUR. They required a cc (just did a preauth and said won't pay til actually arrive for it) cost will be $36.21
There are 4 locations you can book for: GF, CB, POR, and BC/YC. Cruise is from 9:30-11:30am for children ages 4-12yrs

Good to now that they wear a life jacket. And 3 CM's + Captain seems like a reasonable number. I definitely want to my DD to do this! She'd adore it. I think we will book the one at BC/YC because she would love "sneaking" in to Epcot/World Showcase as another pp said.

DD 5 did the BC one last summer and loved it! Feel free to dress her as a pirate. DD wore an etsy shirt that had her name and a pirate hat on it.

How many kids are generally on these cruises? I just booked the Albatross one for my two girls. Had a friend highly recommend it and I'm looking forward to a couple of hours away from them.
