We have had issues with the Cove adult-only section of the Dream having too many kids hanging out in it and have remarked upon it on comment cards.

Our last cruise, we noticed one of the clean-up crew, Angel, would survey the situation as he was doing his job and, if the kids didn't move along after an appropriate amount of time, he would have a friendly word or two with the parents (in Spanish and/or English) and the kids would suddenly leave -- but everyone still had a smile on their face.

We commended his diplomatic skill on our next comment card. And, privately, we called him Angel the Enforcer.

(What was the name of that Olympic swimmer who said he was so used to peeing in the pool that he couldn't even pee on dry land any more?)

I'm laughing out loud at the image of the dog guarding the brig.
At least the swimmer didn't do what this Disney "hero" used to do:

The second is that the adults-only area on Deck 13 on the Fantasy seemed to be respected as an adults-only area. I didn't see any kids up there. I don't think the Dream has a Deck 13 adults-only area.
We were on both last summer - Dream in April, Fantasy in June - and honestly, the deck 11 areas were pretty much identical. We didn't notice any additional signage, and the breakwalls were the same.

Yes, Satellite Falls is exclusive to the Fantasy - though I will say I've seen kids there, too.

Yes, there is NO reason to bring your child through Satellite Falls, it is not on the way to anywhere, but last week a man did.

The biggest issue I have with rules people DON'T follow are touching the food with your bare hands at the buffet. I typically do not eat at the buffet for this very reason.

Regarding the comments on jumping ahead in the buffet lines, my understanding is that on the Dream and Fantasy there if no line and you directly to the station.

Yes, this causes much confusion for those used to the buffet line on the Magic and Wonder. The original story about line-cutting in this thread was when the poster was on the Magic.

We were photo bombed with Donald by a couple of unsupervised children (I say unsupervised because parents were nearby but did not care.) The CMs were gracious enough to let us take a retake after the 2 boys lost interest in us. Needless to say we had a few more run ins with those 2 boys. They kept trying to kiss my 5 yo DD so I had to ask that they were watched closely when in the club with my daughter.

I think I read CMs will often move your stuff after 10 minutes. I bet that's what happened!

I saw this a couple of time last week - none of them hung around - they came in - located their parents - talked to them very briefly and then left - didn't bother me at all because I would want my children to be able to come locate me if they needed me. I was in the pool once and my son had tried to call me several times - he was afraid to come look for me in the adult area. I did see two girls motion to a server from right outside the adult area then the server walked them in to find their parents - I thought that was very respectful of them and a good choice on their part. But my honest opinion is it is a Diseny cruise - hello there are kids and their parents are going to be in the adult areas - they should have the right to locate them without fear of being told something - if you were a person who really didn't want to run into a few kids here and there then don't go on a Disney cruise.

I once saw someone taste the food - with the serving spoon. He then dropped the spoon on the floor, picked it up ----- and put it back into the food

I told a CM who removed the spoon and platter of food.

A non-apologetic confession

I have read this thread with interest and now make my confession sans an apology. On my one and only long cruise to date I was on the receiving end of a condemning stare and snide comment. The stare and the comment were because I and my spouse dared to save two seats for an afternoon program. The snide comment was made just as I was standing up so that my sister and mom could sit in these two apparently ill-gotten seats. Out of embarrassment I quickly and quietly explained who the seats were for and that my 80 year old mother had hurt her foot and could barely get around. I thought that would end the matter. It didn't. I was subject to additional comments then and again after the performance. I was stunned, furious, and if pushed further likely to get ugly. My mom is a beautiful woman who worked hard her whole life raising a family while her husband served his country in two wars. She hardly ever asked for anything in her life. Except a cruise. After raising her 7 children and 13 grandchildren we finally talked her into the cruise she always wanted but wouldn't take. Like I said, she was 80. Sadly two days before the trip she broke a small bone in her foot. She still wanted to go on the cruise though. So for 9 days my sister, spouse, and I did absolutely everything we could to keep her off her foot so as not to cause her any pain. I would not normally save seats but we did the best we could so as not to hurt her or jumble up the crowds. I am just so very, very grateful that on her trip of a lifetime she didn't hear the snide remarks - they would have deeply hurt her and ruined her trip.

So why have I gone into such detail? It's to ask for patience for our fellow travelers. Now forget the peeing in the pool or putting a filthy spoon back into the food, but in those other instances, have patience -- there may be a reason someone is breaking a rule.
