Bog for lunch or dinner?

We have 5:55 adrs for dinner. It's me, dh and DS (4). Not sure if we want to keep the ADR or go for lunch instead. We are going July 2, so might be nice to get out of heat for lunch. Or do we go twice and sit in different rooms?

Hi @krmlaw,
I would keep that elusive dinner reservation, because you won't need to wait in line, as you most likely will if you go for lunch. Reports for lunch have noted an approximate 30 minute wait. Well worth it though!

Although lunch is really good and you can walk around and check out all the rooms, you're going during a very busy and HOT time. And, I have a feeling waits will be MUCH longer for lunch (than 30 min) during that time of the year. If you cancel dinner, expect to have a long wait primarily outside in the FL summer heat. I'd keep that ADR.

I would keep the dinner ressie, knowing that you will definitely have a chance to eat there, many ppl are not getting that dinner chance. Then if you feel like waiting for the lunch you have that option. We just got a dinner ressie for the 5th day of our trip and if we don't want to wait in the line for lunch we wont have to just for the experience. On the other hand it might be worth it as the lunch menu is raved about by everyone.

You also don't see all three dining rooms at dinner - the Rose Room has been closed to guests at dinner.

Definitely dinner! You won't have to wait long with the ADR, you may get to visit with the Beast in his study on the way out, and we thought the menu was better for dinner. The rotating statues in the middle of the Rose Room are nice but it's the least impressive of the three rooms. Definitely not worth switching to lunch to see it.

Although, the OP is traveling during a busier week, so they might just have all three rooms open.

I know that when I went back in November around Thanksgiving, they had all three rooms open for dinner. However when I dined in January and February, only two of the three were open. So who knows, might be lucky enough to catch all three.

I'd definitely advise to keep the reservation. There's no shade waiting out on that bridge and I can't imagine how brutal it's going to be during the summer.

Thanks everyone! Looks like we keep the ADR because of the lunch wait times.
