Well put me in that category! How big/what does this battery operated night light look like? Can you buy them at target or Bed Bath Beyond?

I also bring an alarm clock on the classic ships. The newer ships have iPod docking clocks. Unless they have recently changed this on the classic ships last timer hey did not have a block I could see in the middle of the night just the pretty propeller ones.

I buy a cheap dollar store bucket and pack it in the suitcase and stuff it with socks or underwear. I will then leave it on CC. I don't want to hassle with dirty sand buckets on the return.

I also bring a power strip too.

we bought them at CC, they were not cheap but they were not unreasonable either. I liked not having to pack them, and liked having to pack them on the return.

Surprisingly the hat/sunglasses combo at CC were also middle of the road reasonable.

We zip-tied a mesh bag to one of our checked luggage pieces. It was a breeze.

Add waterproof command hooks

I second the over the door shoe hanger and power strips. I would also add waterproof command hooks for the bathroom. Way too many wet bathing suits that you have to move on and off the clothes line when you want to take a shower. Just put the hooks on the wall and some extra drip dry space without having to move them all the time.

I overpack like crazy. Still have plenty of room in my standard inside cabin. No worries.

This is the one we have: http://www.amazon.com/GE-17401-Batte...ed+night+light

I don't remember paying quite that much for it and they probably have it other places as well. It works great. You can leave it on or set it to auto and it has a motion detector that comes on when you go into the bathroom and goes off by itself. Runs on 3 AA batteries, which last a long time. It is great!

We have a nighlight similar to this one. We plug it into the shaving recepticle in the bathroom. It's not as bright but still works.

Trash bags. I use them as dirty laundry bags and pretty much to separate clean from dirty stuff when packing to go home.
