Ticket price increase warning?

When has DL historically raised ticket prices? And do they give any advanced warning?

Any rumors out there for this year's increase?

Thanks!

If you get the newsletter from this site they usually give out a warning of prices going up. This site is great about getting information out to everyone on what is going on. If you don't subscribe I suggest you do and all this kind of info and lots more will come your way daily.

I believe it's usually late summer that prices increase.

Last year, the price increase went into effect on May 20. The Disney Parks Blog notified folks a few days before.

Subscribe to Mousesavers or check the boards every Friday evening. We normally get warning Friday for a Sunday price increase. Mousesavers warns in the current newsletter than WDW tickets could go up as early as April. Disneyland usually goes up around the same time.

If you pay the entire vacation package before price increase you are set, right? Going in Aug and want to pay it off early, esp. if that means I get the cheaper ticket price. Thank you!

As long as it's booked before the price increase you are good.

We haven't decided yet if we're going at the end of this year or Spring of next year. How long are the tickets good for when the prices go up. Is it only for one year from the time of increase?

Current tickets are only good until the end of December. After the price increase, you will have to look at the dates but I think they expire December of the next year.

OK thank you. We are going to purchase a 5 day hopper. Did those go up about 10% last year? Is it likely the increases will be so steep again this year?

Although I don't like the ticket increases, I'd love for them to announce the return of a 6 day PH at the same time if they are going to do it!!

Sweet! Thanks. Already booked just not PIF yet. I will make sure to do that before the increase then.

Mousesavers newsletter stated it has a feeling that price increase will happen at the begining of April for WDW. It also stated that WDW increase didn't happen until June 3 last year. DL was May 20. It's stresssing me out. They keep backing the date up I'm sure because it's nothing but money in their pocket.

I've just been trying to save for four annual passes with the anticipation I would have until May to do so. If I have to buy them by April that will make a big difference for us. Worse case scenario, I pay the extra I guess. Maybe I will get lucky and it will be June for us!

Just pay attention to the boards, and if the price increase goes through before May, buy as many of the passes as you can afford then and hopefully you'll only have to pay the increased price for one of the passes.

It doesn't need to be paid in full before the increase. Just booked with a deposit. Then you are locked into that price.
