Good evening guys
Well tonight was a night filled with Disney fun. We just got home after going to the Ridley Pearson book signing in Naperville il. 1 1/2 hour drive was well worth it. He shared some new info on book 7 and signed book 6 that just came out today. Talked to him for 5 minutes and he was very personable and informitave. Also made some new friends from Ohio that came in for the book signing and are Disney fans like us. We had dinner together at Lou Malnatis. All in all a really good night. Kids are wiped out and I got a Disney fix.

Very cool. But be warned about eating at Lou Malnati's with other Disney fans. It rarely turns out good. Right Brian? Mark?

Survived sleepover last night. It was only one friend of youngest dd, but a lot of extra giggling. I'll still need the day to recover - maybe I can talk the family into GiJoe movie.

I would love to take credit for that, but as a proud member of team Sparrow, that would be way too much work.

I'm surprised you led him live after making out with your daughter.

I could see a tshirt with that picture on the left, and one on the right with a fish strung up on a line, with the Dads against daughter's dating statement about killing the first one.

I had to re-read that a few times. Bears near the house would rank a little higher in stress for me.

I saw that. I watched for a little bit, but couldn't get into it.

That may work. I'll see if CJ can get the hookups moved to the backyard.

Morning Guys,

We made it home late last night. We drove about 750 miles and were on the road for about 13 hours yesterday. It was nice to get home though.

Before heading out yesterday we were stopped to get gas and some guy pulled in and yelled "Go Flyers!", turned out to be this guy:

It was great to meet you yesterday Dave. This could be the first random DisDad meet at a gas station.

Flying but the front yard camp-out is intriguing.

I love it when a plan comes together.

It was just the opposite, the calipers would released heating up the rotor and turning it blue.

I haven't got all the details of the plan but apparently it involves a code we recieved for some kind of discount in July.

Yes, be very scared. I think you should convince her to go in late August to meet up with some dads.

Yup, there was a dealership close by and it only cost him about $800 to get them fixed.

The trip has to be in July, although we like August better. I have to be away for most of August for work.

Testing...1, 2, 3...

Is this thing on?

Quiet around these parts today. Everyone must be out training for the marathon weekend.

Today is my daughter, Adeline's 7th birthday. DW, both grandma's, and her little sister have taken her in to the city to empty the bank accounts at the American Girl store. Too bad I had to miss that part of the day...

Don't bring sunscreen because they provide an environmentally friendly one. You are greeted, sign in and are given a personal tour of the front of the park. They provide a wet suit and a locker to store your stuff. You get an expanded continental breakfast and are given the run of the park.

When it is time for the dolphin swim (which we did early), you meet in the designated area and are assigned a trainer and taken to a cabana with a group of about 10 people. They give you do's and don'ts. For instance, no jewelry unless it is a wedding band that won't come off. The experience is cool with a fair amount of interaction with the dolphin. Be prepared to buy the photo package they sell.

Lots of stuff to do and DD loved it. The stingrays were a big hit. You also get lunch and when it was owned by Bush, FREE BEER. Not sure if the beer is free anymore. I let the kid run around to play with the stingrays and had a few.

Attendance is limited and it isn't crowded at all. Food was a little better than OK. The animal interaction is very good. Expensive but it was worth it for us. She loved the animals and had a blast.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

They also had a dolphin named CJ and when we did the Trainer for a Day, they brought him out to meet us. If he is still there, tell him I said hello. Here he is.

Two thumbs up with a Z snap.

We went when my youngest was only 9 months and thought that we would need one of my in-laws to take care of her while we were in with the Dolphins but they even provided free baby sitting service.

It is expensive and not something that we would be able to do often but worth every penny.
Thanks guys! Looks like it will be a lot of fun for everyone. I didn't know about the rays. The kids will love that. We have a touch tank at the local aquarium that I have to drag them from when we go. I can't imagine the reaction when they are swimming with them.

I really decided it was time as the kids are a little older and our trip as basically free so the cost wasn't a big concern this time. Airline points, Disney Visa points and non expiring tickets from a past trip. That left a pretty good sized budget for extra's. Now to get out there and work on losing all the weight gain from my knee injury.
