I have read that they've eliminated the MK Extra Magic Hours on Fridays in the summer. We were looking forward to the "Marathon Day" Open-Close we had planned. At least I suspect we'll only lose an hour or so of actual park time though.

Eventful?
There’s almost enough understatement in that first sentence to earn you recognition as an honorary South’ner. Almost…

Sorry about loosing the wheels.
Very glad you’re relatively unscathed and able to tell us all about it.

Every year, or county had a 2 day event for all the 4th graders in the county (1 day for each student). It is organized by some agriculture businesses and organizations in the community. We have 12 stations that they rotate through talking about all kind of things from stranger danger to electrical safety, ATV safety, lawnmower safety, drug education etc. It is also technically called farm safety day, so we have a station on animal safety and I teach one on grain safety. Well, aside from the rural schools, most of the kids will never be around this stuff, so I always ask a few questions of each group to find out what they know and take it from there. Today I just about lost it. I don't know if it is standardized testing or what, but if it was possible to know less than nothing, these kids pulled it off. I've never in 4 years spoken to a group of 4th graders that couldn't even tell me what I had in my hand when I showed them a Ziploc bag with what in it. Today, I had 4 out of 12 groups that couldn't do it, and 2 more that couldn't identify a bag of soy beans.

Once I tools them what it was and asked what we can make with wheat they still couldn't tell me anything other than whole wheat bread. I usually enjoy teaching these kids and interacting with them, but today I felt like I needed 2 hours, not 20 minutes with each group. It was really depressing.
I agree. Around here, we had a school cancels honors night for those students that achieve the goal. New principal felt it made the other kids feel bad since they were not invited. REALLY? How about you buck up, study harder and earn your way in? Nope, we'll just make sure those achieving are punished. I'm not sure how much more of this I can take.

There was an empty spot and then my butterfinger. Stupid, rookie mistake.
Did you tip the machine over and show it who's boss?

DW wants to do the Luau at the Poly, is it worth the cost? They do have bottomless beer so we will need a cab too if we do it. lol.
Hey, we just happen to have an 8:20 breakfast reservation on 8/23 at..........wait for it..........wait for it.........Yup......The Tusker House! I hope you are OK with me looking for the birthday boy and presenting you with a happy birthday in person.

At least, that is… **cough – cough**
Assuming that I worked for actual humans.

Something my overlords are not.

Here it’s more of a master/slave arrangement.
Illness? …they don’t have a word for that.

And even less patients for the notion.

I’d consider gloating…
But we’ll likely be punished toughly this summer for the mild weather we have now.

I read that as well. Looks like we'll be planning a 2AM Sunday night.

I already told them here that I am feeling something coming on and I'll be out for at least a few days in January when it hits.

Yes....yes it does. It stopped snowing today and everything is frozen. I thought the groundhog said early spring?// Saw on the weather this morning that for the next few weeks we'll be in an arctic pattern and those Canadians are sending their cold weather down here. Thanks guys. Not really.

BTW Corey, I think you win the MAN Award for the week!

You rolled your truck, drag yourself out of it, stand up, and whip out your phone and start snapping pictures of it!

Just wondering, you didn't happen to say just before it happen "Hey, ya'll, watch this!"
