All-stars or AoA?? PLEASe help me decide!!
About to pull the trigger on our October trip....
Three Adults (me, my mom and my sister, One 4 year old, one infant). Yes we know it will be tight but my sister and mom are on a budget. I've only stayed at POR (three times and I love it) - but again, mom and sis are on a budget so we're going with a value resort. DD loves little mermaid, so I'm leaning towards AoA Little Mermaid rooms... but really she loves everything Disney if you think All-Stars would be better... don't know much about them (there are three? Music, Sports and Movies?) We love having the fridge in the room, and I think I heard that AoA just added them to all the rooms.... Advice is greatly appreciated!!! |

All the value rooms have fridges.
The biggest complaint I've heard is that the LM rooms are a bit remote at AoA. Another consideration is that there are few if any discounts on those rooms. Have you considered Pop? You could stay there for less than AoA but walk over to AoA to check it all out. |

Personally, I would book at ASmovies if this was the 4yr old's first visit. Toy story/ dalmations/ The theme is wonderful, there will probably get a discount, and she'll get plenty of little mermaid at the new fantasy land at MK.
Have fun! |

So, seems like I'm looking at Pop now too, Pop, AoA or ASMovies... Does ASMovies share a bus with the other AS resorts? |

![]() If you want to be close to the bus stop, be sure to pay for a preferred room. Otherwise you may end up with a long walk. |

At ASMovies nearly the entire resort is preferred so you might not be all that close. ASMovies was most recently refurbished. I prefer the food court set up at Pop but you should look at photos to see which resort you like best. |

I would go with All Stars. Smaller resort and having stayed there, let me tell you that LM rooms are a HIKE (and I am a runner). Your 3 year old really isn't going to care where you stay.....it will all be magical! ALso check ASMusic as often it has discounted rooms when Movies does not.

Another vote for the All Stars as less expensive and more compact. The LM rooms are quite a hike from the food court or bus stop at AoA!

All Star Music is great (we've been there 3 times and all were excellent). Their quiet pool has a colorful Ariel statue next to it. I know it's just a statue...but it is Ariel! The main pool has Donald and his Amigos - Jose and Panchito.

AoA or All-Stars
I am having the same issue. I can't seem to decide between the two. I have never stayed on Disney property so it is a first for either one. I am leaning towards AoA since its newer. Any thoughts????

Getting a preferred room costs a bit more. I understand if your mom NEEDS to but if not, totally not necessary. I know everyone is different and it's convenient being a little closer but I find walking through the grounds of the resorts nice so we like having a room further away, plus it's fairly quiet the farther you get away from the main building and the pools.
