1 concirge class or 2 verandah staterooms

For a family of 5 (10,7,3). What would you do?

With just the information provided, I'd go with the 2 staterooms. We did a standard concierge state room with 4 & it was tight. Perhaps a 1 bedroom concierge would work, but I don't have any 1st hand experience with the 1 bedroom.
Good luck

We are a family of 5 with kids similar ages. We had one family veranda stateroom. It was fine. An extra stateroom would have been helpful for an extra bathroom at times, but for our family, I don't feel that it would have been worth the added expense. (With 2 staterooms you will be charged for 4 adults, 1 child, rather than 2 adults, 3 children.) However, if you're able to stay in concierge, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

Which ship? Which concierge cabin?

Magic Class cat S and R.
Dream Class T, two would still have to share double pullout sofa.
Dream Class R, two still share double murphy, but is room for cot.

We do one cat 4A with 2A 3K (17, 15, 12) and find there is enough room for all of us.

Don't know. Just planning at this point. We are heading out on the Dream in July and plan on booking a new cruise on-board. Thinking of a 7 day fantasy, really just curious about everyone's perspective.

Each of the three kids would have their own bed if you did 1 family veranda stateroom on the Dream class ships as well.

I thought the family veranda concierge rooms Dream class have three beds - one queen, one convertible sofa, and one pull down from the ceiling.

Is there another one hidden in there somewhere that doesn't pull from the ceiling? Because that would make me VERY happy as my parents have booked one of these for our trip (it's their 45th anniversary and they're throwing a family trip), and I know my sister is over the weight limit on the pull-down which will mean I'm stuck with it - and not looking forward to that one part of the cruise at all.

There are family veranda staterooms that sleep 5. In addition to the beds you mentioned, there is a Murphy bed that comes down from the wall. You would have to make sure your stateroom has the Murphy bed, as some category 4 rooms do not.

Ah. At this point (well within PIF...it STARTED PIF) I guess we'll just have to wait. Daddy said they were told the rooms sleep 4-5 (I figured the 5 was set to be 2 in the Queen, 2 in the double convertible sofa, and 1 in the pull-down (which I didn't realize was in the stupid ceiling)). I would have thought he'd specify we were adults, so it might work out, but who knows. Maybe I'll just set up a pallette on the floor. Climbing into a bed was fun when we cruised when I was ELEVEN. And necessary in college for dorm space. At 41?? Not thrilled about it.

We were in a family stateroom on the Magic ....family of 5... DH and me, 3 sons at time 16 (6'6" tall) 13 and 11. 1 queen bed, sofa single bed, pull down single and a single Murphy style bed. We were fine with the space for a 7 night cruise.

We will be in a family room concierge on the Dream next year. The bedding is different.... 1 queen, 1 full size sofa bed sleeping 2 and a ceiling pull down single. We are only cruising with 4 of us and we really wanted the concierge.

So, do you want concierge on the Dream? Concierge on the classic ships is different. Do you want just more space, than you will definitely have it with two staterooms.

The concierge on the Dream was very appealing to me. Cost saving is 1 family stateroom. It depends on your budget and needs.

Good luck...
