Uh-oh, it's going to be a long season if they're already whining--and about building sandcastles!

No favorite teams so far, we'll see who's annoying on the next leg.

I missed the last couple of minutes because I flipped to Revenge, so thank you to whomever posted who came in last.

On the promo it said for the firs time 3 teams quit before the first pit stop

That's what he must have meant though I wouldn't consider taking a penelty quitting

That is what my wife thought also.

I wonder if that four hour delay will even affect the two last place teams.

I wonder if the firefighters, knowing that they were in last place, if they would have turned around before hitting the mat could they have tried the sandcastles again? They could have possibly found a clue, headed back over to the mat, and finished within the 4 hour penalty thus sending one of the other two teams home. I wonder if that pact they made on the beach officially - as far as TAR rules - ended their possibility of going back and trying again.

Glad to have season 22 start. What a beautiful island!

SPOILER:

I don't know when in the season it will be, but someone told me they were in Florida, and at the Gate gas station a couple of blocks from my house. (Central Florida). Supposedly, they had to hitchhike, and that was as far as they guy would take them! Funny thing though, one of the employees at Gate told them there was no loitering, and that they would have to leave. LOL

I'm wondering if they had to get to the FL Keys? Maybe to the "southern most point"?
If someone saw them in Florida, it is probably the end of the race. They start in the U.S. and end in the U.S. I visited the Keys last Spring and we stayed in Marathon-beautiful.

I, too, kept wondering why they didn't go out into the water to cool off, then back at the sand castles. It didn't look like everyone dug down much for the clue. They weren't buried too far, but it's not like they were inside the sand castle.

Sounds like the couple who came in first are going with a technicality for the 2nd fast forward. Father/son were the 3rd team, but the second from the original group to check in. Something about "null & void" if they talk about it too. sheesh, making up rules as they go along.

Not liking the newlyweds much. The couple with the guy with the mullet surprised me. They made it to the mat and they didn't irritate me as much as I thought they would.

No favorite team yet.

I think once they declared they were taking the penalty and received the clue - there was no going back.

There was a line last night that surprised me. I didn't know said it, who it was directed at and why they said it, but during the sandcastle challenge when one all girl team left, someone said "see you (rhymes with witches) ". What precipitated that?

Oops, sorry, didn't realize that word was a no no

Yeah, that makes sense. I can only imagine how much it sucks to be the first team to go home.

Just finished watching on my DVR, and I have to say, while I don't quite have a favorite team just yet, I am really turned off by the newlyweds team's attitude! They seem like really stuck up people. So many of their comments made me .
