Mad Hattered
I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor, I was back to pondering my mortality.

You would be crying all the way to guest relations.

I am all for an awesome plan of attack and RD. I was there in June and did just that. RD and pulled as many FPs as I could and used each and every one of them.
And here lies the difference between us (in order of the bolded):

No....I tend to go during the off season (believe it or not there used to be a lot of them) so there were plenty of FP available, regardless of the time of day. Of course TSM and Soarin' were the exception. I didn't see any people crying during any of my trips because of my selfishness.

I did not break any Disney rules or practices that any other experienced visitor would know and take advantage of. I figured this "trick" out from CM's long before I even knew the DIS existed.

Due to point one I never really came out on the short end of any stick. (Psssst....don't go in June). It's all about timing (literally). The only time I have ever been to Guest Relations is when I left my ticket in a FP machine and had to have it replaced. Lord knows I needed it to hoard more FP's in order to bring another visitor to tears.

As such, it us in Disney's best interest to spread the happy, even if it means that you and I no longer get to FP TSMM four or five times.

I guess it remains to be seen if Disney is actually spreading the happy or not. I hope it all works out. I'm not yet convinced that anyone will be happy, but I hope I'm wrong. And of course, I'm going to miss being able to get more than one set of fp's for my favorite attraction. This is what I have enjoyed for quite a while. Wanting to ride the same thing a few times with little wait, is not such a bad thing when I've become "spoiled" by Disney's old policies.

Again, it has only been mentioned once in the thread about transfering some FPs but you jumped right on that as an opportunity to call the whole lot of us "entitled" and "bitter".

I bet you think it's unfair that you don't get picked to be FoTD at park opening, or that sometimes a CM gives a kid a free Mickey bar just because but not you.

Non transferable means you are not supposed to transfer your FP ticket to someone else. It was a violation of Disney rules.

There is the difference between you and I.

You would lose that bet.

I was just making a comment on the inconsistency of people's logic when they state those that worked harder should be rewarded more and the gifting of FPs in the past.

So, if I can't use my fp's (change of plans, child gets sick, child gets tired and weepy, I get a headache, etc.), I should throw them away. Because Disney won't like it if I give them away. Got it.

There are so many reasons why one may have pulled a FP with EVERY intention of using it and then couldn't use it. Don't be difficult just for the sake of being difficult.

Kid gets sick.
Kid has a meltdown.
Rain storm soaks your clothes and you need to go change.
Lost a contact lens.
Got run down by a giant stroller.
Got chosen to participate in parade/show at last minute.

and on and on.

True, but many people on the DIS have talked about getting FPs with the expressed intention of giving them away to spread "pixie dust"

Yes, you should throw them away. Nothing is lost and you help the line move faster for others. And Disney has non-transferable on the tickets for a reason.

Yup, I agree fully. So throw the FP away. Nothing is lost if you do so and it actually helps more people because the lines would move faster.

So when YOU are unable to get a FP for your favorite ride because they're all gone...snatched up by us greedy hoarders/pixie dust spreaders....I suppose you would turn down an offer of extra FP by a fellow guest because it's just so very wrong. Good to know.

I guess you can color me a rule breaker then. But we can agree to disagree on this one .
