GF/DF desserts at CS

Wow, that's a lot of acronyms!

We are going back during spring break, lucky enough to have just been to WDW last fall. My daughter with celiac's disease loved getting baby cakes at AoA.

However, some CS restaurants didn't have GF/DF dessert options, like our favorite Sunshine Seasons. Any more recent experiences? We'll be on the quick service dining plan. I like the fact that some places have the packaged treats she can take home, but it would be nice if she could have more fresh options.

PS- I'm glad to read that Disney is sending out the allergy PDF again!

Sunshine seasons had enjoy life products when we were there in December. I don't know if they had anything else because enjoy life is the only thing I can eat (I'm GF, soy free, egg free, nut free, plus some other things)

Enjoy Life would be good. Maybe they were out the night she ate there, but they didn't have any allergy desserts.

I'm GF/DF too and go to Sunshine Seasons specifically because they do have deserts I can eat. They should have Enjoy Life cookies, crispy rice bars, and Rocky Mountain popcorn. Now, they do keep moving the allergy deserts around. Sometimes they are in the usuall spot in the wall shelving but they have been in bins near the entrance. If you can't find what you're looking for, ask the CMs who are very helpfull here.

I wasn't with her the night she had dinner there, she's an older teen. She probably asked someone who didn't know, then didn't persue it further when she was told they didn't have any allergy desserts. Sounds like they have plenty! Thanks!

I don't think I've ever been to a CS location that didn't have something we could get as the dessert option on the dining plan. At one time I remember that Columbia Harbour House didn't have anything that my kids could have so they were offered chips but since then they've added a couple different Enjoy Life options. I'm another person who has found plenty of options at Sunshine Seasons which is our favourite CS park location. Then again, we only go to CS locations that I know carry several allergy options so that probably makes a difference. We don't really eat CS in the various countries in the WS at Epcot other than the American pavillion where I got the frozen coke last time we ate there (my kids both got Enjoy Life). These days, I think almost every CS location that is owned and operated by Disney carries at least one type of Enjoy Life cookie.

To make sure that you have the latest and greatest version of the PDF you should email the Special Diets department. That being said, one of the regulars on this board has a blog where she posted the most recent PDFs that she's received. You still want to email for the latest and greatest because Disney does change suppliers on what seems to be a regular basis, but this is at least a starting point. http://glutenfreedairyfreewdw.blogsp...g-page_10.html

Unfortunately, the reference sheet does not include foods that are not allergy specific foods yet are free of specific allergens. I don't think it lists things like the popcorn and pretzels at the carts all over the parks being milk free. They used to a couple years ago include this kind of info but haven't in a while.

I emailed SpecialDiets@disneyworld.com about 2 weeks prior to our trip. They will send you back the files with the dietary request form to fill out, and lists of items available and where you can find them. If it's not current it's not useful. Here is a blog that lists PDFs for reference. I read recently that dole whips may be dairy free now...
