HELP! Where to buy a belt?? Here now

Hi DIS!

I thought this was the best place to post this, but if not, feel free to move.

We POPped in today and DH realized he forgot his belt. We went to DTD and there were none to be found in WoD, TrendZ or Team Mickey and no CM knew where we could find one.

Any shopping savvy DISer know where in a park we can get one? We are headed to DHS tomorrow - he will be limited to only 2 pairs of shorts for the whole week if we can't find one. And its supposed to get chilly towards the middle so I'm desperate.

Thanks!

have never looked for a belt at Disney, but my best guess based on my recollection of inventory is the gift shop at the Yacht Club and possibly at the Grand Floridian.

Or is there a way you could make a pin lanyard work as a belt? I thinks some of them could be manipulated to work as a belt. Maybe worth a shot to looks at some of them.

Good Luck!!!

My son had this same problem last time we were there. We looked high and low throughout the World but the only ones we found were $50+, very large belts in one of the branded stores at Hollywood Studios. We ended up using a pin trading lanyard. It worked fairly well but my son recommends trying to find the coarse fabric kind, rather than the smooth synthetic kind if possible.

Look in your hotel lobby gift shop. We bought ours at Animal Kingdom Lodge gift shop, they had a good selection. Don't worry you will find one!

I'd try your resort gift shop or if all else fails, in Villains in Vogue on Sunset in Studios I know, as of this last August, they had a nightmare before Christmas themed belt. Not the most stylish, but it's better than nothing.

My wife and I have both had similar situations. If you have a car, there is a Target not too far off property.

When we had the dame situation, she was successful in her quest. I walked around holding up my shorts.

There is a belt kiosk in DTD!! It is kind of near the pin store sort of by the water.

It is next to another kiosk that seeks mixed drinks.

We had the same problem back in November! There were no belts in any of the stores. Fortunately we found the kiosk.

Happened last time we were there. The gift shop had one but it was ugly and expensive. Ordered one from Amazon and had it shipped to the resort if you can wait a day or two.

There's a golf-type men's store at the Grand Floridian, maybe they have something there?

The golf clubhouse for the Palm/Magnolia/Oak Trail courses has them. Some Oakley ones caught my eye just today. I imagine the price to be quite hefty, though. If you take the monorail over to the Poly of Grand Floridian, you can walk from there (it's over near Shades of Green).

Don't laugh, but go down to the front desk and ask if they have any belts in lost-and-found that have been there for a long time. My late husband forgot a belt on a cruise years ago. I was grousing to our cabin steward and he produced one from the lost and found department. I gave it back at the end of the cruise....hope it helped someone else.

I was just going to say this. I was a flight attendant and stayed in hotels 3-4 nights every week. I lost a cell phone charger. Went to the hopsitality manager at little Holiday Inn in Parkersburg, WV and they said, no problem. Led me into a back room where the room stewards kept their carts and opened a drawer. In it were 100+ phone chargers. She said "grab which one ya need."

That would be my first advice before going to a store!

Clint
(when I first read the topic I was like, any bar will gladly hook you up with a belt of something...lol)

There is a stand by the water behind Goofy's Candy Company/Mickey Mart(everything up $10 store) that makes custom belts and the prices are reasonable. I bought a couple last trip
