My doc suggested taking an Sudafed tablet an hour before take off and landing for ear pain, should help her cold too.

For ear pain get two cups put a hot towel in each and place them over each ear.Saw a Air Steward do this on an Air France flight with a little girl in great pain on landing,it really did work

Hope she is feeling better, & your trip a safe one.
We are supposed to leave at the end of the week, DD has an ear infection & now she has a bump at her eye, We might have to reschedule ours.

is her nose stuffed up?

if i have to fly with a cold, i use otrivin spray to keep my ears open..

I will make a note of that for my own future reference. Is it effective? DD suffers terribly with painful ears on the flight, even without a cold. I used the kids Earplanes last year and they worked a charm! Probably a bit late to be useful info for the OP unless she can pick some up at the airport though

Chani also has terrible ear issues (she had to have a tube put in her ear before her trip to alaska - the third time she's had to have tubes)..

she also uses ear planes - and swears by them!!

i used them on my trip this past october and they worked well..

but if i actually have a cold, i use otrivin to 'unstuff' me for the flight...

but good you mentioned the ear planes, i forgot about them!!

My daughter still has cold but giving her plenty of meds and fluids. Brought her some ear planes for the plane, so hope that helps. X

Peppermint for headaches......i rub it right on my temple

For sore throat.....lemon and doterra's onguard ( or anything similar)
We either gargle with it or take a couple drops in sip of juice
Rubbung it on the feet works too
