As far as your pocket fish extender, neither DW or I are very crafty in making our own. So I went on ebay and in search typed in fish extender. It showed people who make them for you. You could buy 2 or 4 pocket fish extenders. at a very reasonable price. I bought one for our the three of us when our granddaughter was cruising with us. I'm going to buy another 2 pocket one for DW and I for this cruise and other cruises coming up.

I'm budgeting $200 for tips.

Also, remember if you have drinks at a bar, they will add the gratuity to your bill for that as well. you might wish to have money to tip your tour guides in the ports as well as bus drivers for any tours. Tipping in these cases is at your discretion. We usually did $5-10 for the two of us depending on the tour.
Thanks for all the great info I'm sure I will have many more questions in the upcoming months. Do any of you have pics you can post of your EFs. I may try to get crafty and make something for us. I'm a Pisces and supposed to be artistic but I'm afraid that trait passed me by.

The bad thing about this is I had been on 1.5 cruises before I realized this. I was giving huge tips too.

Last cruise my mom and uncle were tipping $20 per 2 drinks. And by the end of it they were like "Oh wait... That was 15% already plus $20...."

Susan,

Click on the link below. It will show you what a 2 pocket FE looks like. I hope this helps.

Thanks David, I may have enough craftiness to be able to create something along those lines.

Do they still do wine packages? or is it better to buy in San Diego and bring it on board ourselves...we only like a couple of glasses with dinner, so not sure which is more cost efficient.
Are there any other 20 somethings going on the cruise?? We'll have a 21 yr old son and 20 yr old daughter with us, would be great if there were some people for them to hang out with.
Our daughter is super excited about there being a pirate night...she's into theatre. Our first cruise we saw the original Pirates of the Carribbean movie on board on opening night...so cool. Anyone know of any movie openings when we are on board?

I signed us up to participate in the FE thing but I've never done this before. Can some of you veterans give me some ideas about what I need to hang off of our fish? What do most of you use that doesn't fall apart when you put something in it?
In Cozumel you can swim with Dolphins at Chankanaab National Park. Book with DCL or take a taxi, alone or with others. It's about 10 minutes from port.

Disney did wine packages on our 2011 Dream cruise; always cheaper to buy wine in port but then you have to carry it!
We saw Enchanted when that first came out and The Help. I love having the new movies in the theatre, slightly older movies by poolside and the classics on the room TV!

From what I'm gathering my friends and I are the younger set. I'm 32, my friend Leannda is 36, and my friend Emily is the baby at 25. She will have a birthday on board. My internal/mental age is a lot younger.

Do these long cruises have things like pirates night? I still have my costume from 04' when Captain Hook tried to escort me off to dinner after we took pictures with him . My fiancé at the time chased after us going "tick tock, tick tock" and Hook let go of my arm and ran away
sounds like fun! They always seems to hit the canal going through...they sold a piece of the canal that that stuck to the ship while passing through at auction in 2005...it went for almost 9K...wild, huh?

There are commercially made ones, or you can be creative, or as simple as a merchandise bag. Just be sure to use a wire tie (zip tie) to secure it to the fish, they have been known to disappear!
