We're in!

Greetings and salutations, all!

My DW, Jacky ("The Lady Jay") and I have just signed up for this cruise. Although it's actually a couple of weeks earlier, we will be celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary. (YAY! ). We also have had the Panama Canal on our bucket list, so this is a biggie for us.

If anyone's keeping track of staterooms, we're booked in 8534.

I just wanted to stop in and say hi, and that we're looking forward to cruisin' with y'all! I'll probably have more to say later on, but am on a break from work, so will keep it short.

See You Real Soon!
Richard

Super excited and can't wait to start planning!!!!!
Hi HypKris,

My DW and I will be just down the hall from one of your staterooms, in 8534. We'll lean out on the balcony & wave!

All the best,

Looking forward to planning this one with the DIS'ers.

Hi Janice! Great to hear from you, and glad you're going to be onboard!

Jacky and I were talking about yoga, and decided we should do it. I'll see if we can get the "secret deck" on deck 7 unlocked the mornings of sea days.

And if anyone else is interested in doing yoga on sea days, we will be doing about an hour, starting at 7:30 a.m., on deck 7, aft. Any other takers? We did this on the 2010 WBTA, and it was a peak experience, and one that sticks in my mind.

I'm not a qualified yoga instructor, but have been doing yoga off and on for over 30 years. You exercise at your own risk, but if you've never done yoga and are interested, or are an expert (in which case, we'll defer to you!), or anywhere in between, please join us! (Rainy days excepted.) We don't do "super-bendy" poses ("asanas"), but any yoga leads you to better posture, breathing, and helps flexibility and health.

Anyone interested? Or will it just be the three of us?

All the best,
Richard

And furthermore…for those of you who have been threatened with daily exercise, you might want to mix it up with some occasional yoga. Trust me – it's not (just) for wimps. My heart rate gets up to 150+ BPM, and I can definitely tell the next day that I really got a workout! Try it, you'll like it! (probably)

All the best,
Richard

Hi Richard,
I haven't done yoga but I'm up for trying! It'll be my '6-0' birthday ( really hate the way that sounds) right after the cruise so I guess starting in my 50's is still possible. Seriously doubt spouse will join us but who knows. Welcome to the cruise and boards!

Welcome new cruisers/new threaders!

I'd be interested in yoga. I try yoga in spurts at home. That and I take my dogs about a mile walk-run.... so yoga and walking around the boat- I'm go!

I think my friend Emily is going to be the youngest adult in our group, 26.

Don't let it bother you. I'm 62, and will be 64 (cue Beatle's song) when we sail. Moreover, yoga is great to help us "middle-aged" types retain and improve flexibility. I'll look forward to meeting you!

Or am I mistaken? Have we already met on the 2010 WBTA? Your handle seems familiar.

Richard
