Walking from Harbor Blvd to DTD
Can you walk from the pedestrian entrance on Harbor Blvd to DTD? If so, does that walking route ever close after park hours?
I'm just trying to figure out if we would have to walk around south to Katella and back north on Harbor if we stayed at a hotel on the east side of the resort. Hope this makes sense. Traci |

You can walk through. You will have to go through security if the parks are open.

Yes you definitely can. I don't believe it closes, except that I think they shoo everyone out in the morning so that they can ensure everyone passes through security once the security lines open.

Thank you, I appreciate the quick replies!
It might not even be an issue but I was trying to figure out if we wanted make a trip to DTD the night we arrived without going to the parks, if we would have to walk all the way around or could 'cut' through. It looks like it would make a bit of a difference in walking time after a long day of travel. I have just started planning for a trip at the end of May and trying not to panic. Have only been to the area one time about 15 years ago.

As the PPs said, you'll be fine. If either of the parks are open, you'll have to go through bag security on your way into the esplanade. You don't need park tickets to go through security and enter the esplanade.

We just did that last Wed. Arrived around 8:00 pm and checked into our Harbor St hotel (BWPPI). Then walked to DTD and had dinner. No bag checks as the parks were already closed. No problems walking back through after dinner (close to 10:00 pm by then.)
