My guess is a child 3+ would need a room key for EE, but why should a 1 or 2 year old? They don't even need a park pass?
Very good point!

We were there in early Jan. My kids are 9&6. We did show our room keys for them.

Yes, a thread started by the OP about having six in a PPH room for 5.

You will need to show keys for children 3 and older. Last trip, they wouldn't let a family through bag check at the hotel entrance without keys for everyone.

I recently found my tickets (in the lanyard pocket, kind of a fun discovery!)from our last trip in 2009, and my girls who were only 6 and 7 at the time had both tickets and room keys. Each room key had one person's name on it. We stayed at GCH. So they must have been doing this a while, although they only would have had MM at DL at the time, right?

But... EE is for hotel guests, not hotel guests and additional invited family or friends. In this situation that you have stated, taking a person in for EE who is not staying onsite would be wrong. If that's the plan, yes, add her to the room reservation.

You can get a crib brought to your room, so maybe they will issue a sixth key under the right circumstances.

You should be asking if anyone with 4 children has experienced this.

Sent from my DROID X2 using DISBoards
If the infant is under 1 you may be able to get a 6th person (we were).

In WDW our 2 year old needed to show his room key for EMHs. Not sure what they would've done if we didn't have it, but he WAS issued one so we carried them all.

When I went (September 2012) the 4 year old was issued a room key, but never had to show it. The infant was not issued a key. We asked if we could have one for her since we thought it would be a nice souvenir and were told no.

I think it depends on the CM at the gate. One morning, we had to show room keys for all of us. The next morning, it was just the adults and the following morning it was just one per family.

They asked at the front desk upon arrival who we wanted to have charging privileges, so we were able to make sure it was only the adults. We did carry their keys for them either way.

My kids have never been asked. We just used EE this weekend and they weren't asked. They're 12 and 14, but enter w/us. They are given keys sometimes, and not on other visits. This visit we were not offered a key for either (though they were standing right there, so clearly the CM checking us in could see that they were plenty big, lol). I asked for a 3rd key so that they could come and go from the room. We were given the 3rd key, of course, but they never needed it for EE.

Thats strange, every time we've went, everyone one older than 2 has gotten keys with their names on them.

Yeah, I would say most times we are given a key for the kids, or at least asked if we would like keys for them. This time we weren't asked at all, so I asked and we were given one extra key (to be fair, I asked for 'an extra for the kids', not 'an extra for each kid'). But, regardless, I can't think of a single time they've been asked for their key for EE.

And we have been asked every time we have stayed on site, are we talking EE or EMH.

Thanks,

Jack
