B2B Laundry question

If you have done a B2B, do you have time in the AM to do some laundry before you have to leave the ship? I'm trying to decide if this will be a good use of after breakfast time. Will the self-service laundry even be open?

Some people have reported that they have put their laundry in the washer before disembarking/re-checkin (with a sticky note saying that the laundry in the machine belongs to a B2Ber). Then switching the clothes to the dryer as soon as they are back onboard. And able to get the clothes back into their room before the new cruisers are onboard.

Personally, I'd probably just wait. Not that many people will be doing laundry on embarkation day, would be my guess.

We've done it. Definately leave a sticky note - we actually had our laundry bag removed because we forgot to put a note on the washer - though the clothes were still there! Fortunately our stateroom host did get our bag back for us!

We're on a B2B in June/July and will probably do the same thing. It seems to make sense from a timing perspective - there's so much stuff to do once the ship starts embarking that adding laundry just seems to be a pain.

There will be a certain trunover time. During this time your KTTW card from the first cruise won't work anymore and the KTTW card from the second cruise isn't working yet.
During that turnover time 1 -1.5 hours you can't get charges on the cards so no laundry.

This is usally between embarkation ending time and opening the cruise again 10am-Noon

So if you do B2B you have to walk off ship with everyone?
Do you just get to walk right back on with new cards or do you need to sit in the terminal for a bit?

You get off the ship, go through customs, then walk right back up into the terminal and sit until they open a station to check you in. For us it was about 30-40 minutes. We got on board again just before they opened the terminal to incoming cruisers.

Thank you.

If you are changing rooms, do they store your luggage for you?

Assuming nothing has changed since we did ours, yes. They store your luggage at guest services and you can get it when you come back on board. If you are in the same stateroom you just leave everything in place which is soooo nice. You can then get right back into your room when you are back on board though they do ask that once new cruisers begin boarding you either stay in your room or stay out until all the rooms are ready.

You should receive a letter in your stateroom before the end of the first cruise describing all of this as well.

We did a B2B on the Magic several years ago and I thought that inbetween time would be perfect for laundry. Sadly, I waited until we got back on again to do it which was a mistake as my card would not work. I did get it all done before the drill but it was a tad stressful. We are doing another next year so I need to think that one through a bit better and just not do it until lunchtime when the new card is working.
