One park only what would you do

We are now spending 1 day at WDW after our Fantasy Cruise. Our obvious park choice would be MK, but we can't get there for rope drop since we have to come from Port Canaveral and MK is closing that day at 7pm for the Christian Music Concert - Sept 7.

AK is open until 5
DHS is open until 8
Epcot is open until 9

We have been to WDW 5x so we are familiar with all the parks. I'm leaning towards Epcot bc it has the latest park hours and Illuminations. Since MK closes at 7pm there would be no Night time parade or wishes.

Thoughts?

I agree, Epcot.

I would also choose Epcot.

I would still choose MK. For me, it's the most "Disney" of all the parks. Even if I only had time for the mountains, Philharmagic and Buzz, I'd be a pretty happy camper...er, cruiser.

I would probably still choose MK. As pp said, it's the true Disney to me, hit up exactly what I wanted, and then leave.
My second choice would be DHS, Fantasmic!

I would agree accept I'm having a really hard time justifying the $400 it will cost the 4 of us to spend a few hours in MK. We are now thinking of staying at AKL or Beach Club and making it a resort day followed by DTD.

I would do a non-park Disney Day. I would take a bus to TTC, take the monorail to Poly and watch the fireworks from the shore. Maybe include a dinner (Luau?)

I agree with the resort day idea! Too much $ for too little time!

Smile Agree with resort day

It just would be so difficult to rationalize $400 for a limited time. If you are already worried about that, ANY little snafu with your day (broken down fave ride, the occasional super rude guest, someone taking one too many bathroom breaks, etc.) will exponentially increase your stress, and Disney should be about the ambience and fun. EPCOT would obviously be more time for the dollar, but I vote for the extra day. It IS just money haha, but you want to relax and enjoy it if you are going to spend it!

Well for us the sensible Choice would be Epcot. More bang for your buck. You could get a later ADR somewhere and have nice dinner. But on the other end try telling that to our kids (ds 7, dd 5) that were not going to do MK... lol
