Please help me with my off-site neurosis

We are used to vacationing at WDW resorts where I always know exactly what I am booking with my stay. I am admittedly out of practice with chain and boutique hotels. After reading my confirmation e-mail from our hotel of choice at Disneyland, I'm a little uneasy.

I booked at The Anabella online and booked a room special with the third night free, plus continental breakfast for 2 every day for $129 per night. No where on my confirmation e-mail does it notate the free night or the breakfast. When I looked at the website last night, the third night free special is still available, available but for $107 per night, with no mention of breakfast. Am I getting the shaft here, or am I about to?

I would give the hotel a call and adress your concerns... better safe then sorry as for the 127.00 a night there are plenty of closer hotels with just about the same rate. best of luck

We booked a hotel once in Seattle because they were offering the same "third night free" special. Turns out, this third night free was valid for our NEXT visit only. It was extremely frustrating because this was only mentioned in little tiny letters within the "terms" section.

Not sure if this is the same situation but maybe check the promo carefully and see if they say something like that.

Hope it all works out! You'll love DLR!

I haven't stayed at the Annabella, so I'm not familiar with the practices. Does the email have a total for your 3 nights?

You are in the Northwest, pick up the phone and call them.

I actually cancelled a reservation at the Annabella a couple years ago because I made the reservation in May for our trip in Sept then 3 weeks before our trip they e-mailed me with "revised rates" for my stay. It was only $2 a night more, but I was frustrated that they bumped the rate up, and didn't want any more surprise costs. So, I called to ask for the original rate, and the woman said ok. A week later (2 weeks before our trip) I got the e-mail again with the increased rate. So I called to complain and said I was told twice that I would get the old rate. The woman said (very rudely) that the $2 fee was just added into the rate now and "You'll end up paying it anyway." And then she hung up on me! I called back the next day and cancelled our reservation. I really didn't like their customer service on the phone and didn't imagine it would get better once we got there.

So, I would highly recommend you call and fin out if you are actually getting the 3rd night free. Get the name of the person you talk to, and make sure they e-mail you the correct rates. Print it off and bring it to show them when you check in so that they don't surprise you with hidden fees.

I stayed there with a friend in 2005. After we returned home, there was an extra $50 charge on my friends cc. They said we broke a window. Huh? We never even touched the window. All we did was sleep there for a couple hours. And they never even contacted her about it. They just added the extra charge. She had to call to see why. So, needless to say, I've never stayed there again. It's too bad because the rooms are nice.

I haven't stayed there yet, but here's a recent thread about the Anabella that might help.

Here is what the Anabella package description says:
"The Anabella Hotel is offering 3rd night free for our luxurious Concierge Rooms, Premiere King & Double and Mission Suites. Please note the rate shown does not reflect the 3rd Night Free discount and will be adjusted off at the time of checkout. Special terms and conditions do apply, promotion subject to availability, this promotion is not applicable during holiday periods, Conventions and most weekends. Available on the Concierge Premiere, Mission Suite, and Premiere King & Double rooms only."

I'd call to make sure but also print out a copy of the promotion & deals information. Good luck. Let us know what you find out. Have a great trip!
