Palo brunch

I'm new to the DCL boards and taking our first trip in June with 4 adults. To be honest, Palo never crossed my mind, as I figured we'd have so much "free" food to enjoy. We are on the 4 night cruise and I do not want to miss any of the main restaurants or pirate night since it is our first time. BUT-- the more I read the more it seems like Palo is a must?!??! I'm reconsidering my decision and thinking it might be something worth trying out!

I'm thinking of trying Palo brunch -- I believe its only available on our "at sea" day -- correct?

If we do brunch, what time to you suggest trying to get a reservation for? We have second dining.

What is the cost? I never see that part mentioned!

I agree, go for it. I doubt you'll regret it. 'Nuff said.

It's a possibility there won't be ANY times available when the online booking window opens at 75 days for you, but just go see the PALO team as soon as you board - ask the castmember who escorts you in to point you in the right direction. Then you can either book or get put on standby.

Palo brunch is only on sea days. It is VERY worth the time and money. As for time, we always try for around 10:30 or 11:00. Plan on at least 2 hours for the experience.
Have a great day, Ben.

What if you don't have a day at sea? We are on the Wonder for 4 nights leaving from Miami in January of 2014. We have stops at CC, Nassau and Key West .

Palo brunch is the best! I highly recommend it. The only "bad" part is, you won't be hungry later if you have the first dinner seating! We've been to Palo for dinner and high tea, also, but we enjoyed brunch the most.

If you don't have a sea day Palo Brunch won't be offered unfortunately. Since this is your first time on DCL I'd skip Palo. Get a reservation when you come back and are better able to decide what to skip.

I just booked Palo brunch, because of all the rave reviews on here. I'm wondering though, what the food is like? LOL! I probably should have looked into that before I booked.

Yes, I'm curious about this too. And what activities go on during brunch that one might miss? Aren't most of the shows etc. in the evening? I have never cruised but just booked my first for 2014 and am considering Palo as well.

I think the atmosphere is nice, but the food is only above average. It really depends on what type of dining you do at home. (If you're from NYC or SF or you eat at Vegas alot, you might think Palo is just average.)

We've dined at Palo 3xs now, and while we enjoy it I wouldn't go out of my way on a 4 night cruise to do it. We would on a 7 night cruise.

Also, it's "cheap", but after you add in tip its still $60-$70 per couple. I personally think that the dinner is a much better value than brunch, but brunch is more fun and the desserts are delicious.

My sister and I really enjoyed the brunch. They had different types of pizzas, cheeses, fruits, seafood (which we didn't like so didn't try), breads, rolls, sautéed vegetables, eggs Benedict, etc. I also think they had an omelet station. Out waitress was fantastic and I thought the food was really good. The desserts were fabulous... The best white chocolate strawberries I've ever had. I would definitely do the brunch again!

No jeans (or denim material skirts/pants), shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, swim suits. And it's about 50/50 if they will allow capris. Sometimes, yes, sometimes, no.

If you search for the Disney Cruise Line blog, you will find a lot of pics there. In fact, there were so many pics that they didn't all make it into the post. The balance of the photos will get posted this or next week when we are on the Fantasy
