So tell me about Dapper Day!

We have never been, but plan on going this year-we had planned on going on the 24th, not knowing it will be Dapper Day.

How many people actually dress up? What are crowd levels like?
Anything else?

We accidentally went on dapper day in the fall- didn't know it was happening. It was so fun - we loved everyone's outfits!! I remember that it was definitely more crowded, but we didn't care because the people watching was incredibly fun.

Oh, missed one of your questions - a LOT of people were dressed up when we went! We couldn't believe how many! It's quite an experience!

I hope to be there at least for a few hours in the evening. I have no idea what to expect, but I think it'll be fun. The event itself is relatively new (a couple years), so it's hard to predict crowds.

Check out their website: http://www.dapperday.com/ Looks like a fair amount of people actually dress up.

The crowds were a little higher than the previous day but we thought it was the coolest thing. There were at least a few hundred people dressed up. I wanted to go so bad this year, but won't be able to make it out there until the 25th.

I will be at DL over the Dapper Days Weekend. I remember while staying at BWV at WDW some years ago there were lots of young guests dressed in 40's and 50's wear heading to the Atlantic Dance Hall. I sat watching every couple walk past me to the entrance to the Dance Hall. It felt like I had stepped back to an earlier time. I am so wishing the DL Day will be same as the WDW experience.

Thank you for all of the replies--I'm going to have to get some outfits together!
I think we will at least go for a few hours and people watch if nothing else

I just looked these tickets up -- does anyone know if they have to be used during dapper days to be valid?

I don't recall when they start but they are good until March 7. It says on the website. They are good for convention attendee and their friends and family. Dreamprft, will you be my friend.

I realize that Dapper Day is mainly focused on 50s formal attire, but I was wondering if a lot of people show up in a variety of 50s gear. We are leaving the afternoon of Dapper Day and we wanna dress up for the few hours we are there, but because we are flying we also want to take comfort into consideration... We were thinking cuffed pants and a cardigan with appropriate accessories for me and jeans and a white tee for my brother. Would we fit in or do we need to step it up? Thanks!

Actually, it's not so much about 50s, it's about being dapper (fashionably dressed) from any era
