I will share our recent experience. We paid to be in the front of the place (behind business class by 2 rows.) It was 15.00 per person on top of the flight itself. It says Zone 1 on our confirmation and this is what it says regarding that on the website..

Some seats offer special benefits:

Premium coach seats toward the front of the cabin offer priority boarding
Exit row seats offer additional leg room and priority boarding

I believe we are talking about 2 different things. You can pay more to have a seat up front, and you can also pay more for priority boarding. So you could pay for a cheaper seat towards the back and then pay the additional $10 for priority boarding.

Sorry.. I was mixed up. I didn't see that there was also an additional option to add priority boarding to other seats because we just chose the ones that included it for the flat fee.

Here is what we do. We pay a bit extra for the seats just because I don't want to be separated from my kids. That being said....both times we went we almost had to check a carry-on. We always slap on the Disney's Magical Express on our carry-on just to be safe. We make sure anything we need for that first day is in our "personal" bags. Works for us.
