Can I do this with ME?

I would like to fly down there and take the ME to Disney, but rent a car to drive home so we can stop at the beach for a couple days.

My question is, can we ride the ME back to the airport to pick up the rental car or do you have to have a flight booked to board the bus?

Thanks for any help!!

Yes, you can do that. Call and schedule ME. I don't remember if you need to give a flight time (in which case your pickup time will be ~3 hours before that) or a pickup time.

IMO, a better option is to rent the car from on site (either the Car Care Center or the Dolphin). I'm pretty sure they'll pick you up at the resort and transport you to the CCC. Why lose the drive time to/from MCO?

The cost is significantly less renting at the airport. It would be a one way rental to Charlotte, NC. I guess the airport rental agencies have more availability to cut the costs?

I just wasn't sure if we would be allowed on the ME to go back to the airport without having a flight booked.

Just a suggestion. BTW, on Mousesavers:
Quote:
Get a one-way rental from Florida of an Economy through Fullsize car for $19.95/day or a Minivan or SUV for $29.95/day at participating FLORIDA pickup and NON-FLORIDA dropoff locations. Go to the National website to book. No physical coupon required. 1-day minimum, 21-day maximum rental. Valid on rentals that 4/1/13-5/31/13.

Those special prices are usually available one way out of FL in the spring as they bring the excess cars from "season" back up north. You can also get some good one way rates in the fall going to FL as they want the cars back in FL for the "season".
