Generally, regular GTYs are assigned around 45-60 days out. And last minute *GTs are assigned about 2 weeks out.

Rooms are assigned at the time of booking whether you book with a TA or directly with DCL unless you book GTY which a pp said was generally assigned 45-60 days out, OR if you book a *GT rate and these can be assigned anywhere from a couple of weeks out or at the port. Obviously the OP booked either GTY or a heavily restricted *GT rate and is waiting on their room assignment.
